Nuclear Blast: Real Audio + Audio Reconstruction

  • Most footage of Nuclear weapons has generic explosion noises dubbed on to please viewers, and because original audio is generally lost, too low quality, or was never recorded in the first place.
I pulled the audio from the low quality footage of the Upshot-Knothole "ANNIE" test, and matched it to better quality footage of a Nevada Test Site detonation.
I then, using the low quality audio as a guide, made a reconstruction of the sound of a Nuclear Detonation. I tried recreate what your ears would hear as closely as possible (hence, no EMP fuzz in the reconstruction).
I do not believe this has been done before, so enjoy. This is what a nuclear bomb sounds like.
I have also now made a second video, which you can see here: • Nuclear Blast: Audio R...

They had torpedeos with nukes to sink submarines, air to air missiles with nukes to shoot down bombers, other missiles to sink ships, target small bases. Most nukes being of a small size like this for "tactical" use rather than strategic. Both the US and the Soviets had tens of thousands, which varied over the years. I am glad there never was a war because they certainly would have used the nukes.
There was a possibility to fight a nuclear war without targeting cities, sometimes there is an understanding between both sides. Like in ww2 no one used chemical weapons on other countries with chemical weapons but they were happy to use them on countries without chemical weapons.

It still amazes me today that scientists are blinded by their work and dont realize what they have done until after the fact.. What comforts me is knowing that everything is done for God's glory.. No matter how destructive, inhumane, and outright evil something maybe,,, God would not let it happen unless it was ultimately for His glory and purpose.. I personally believe God allowed this to happen because He will use these weapons as part of the great tribulation to judge mankind.. I also believe it will be very soon because of the fig tree generation prophecy. Moses said a generation would be 70 years and 80 by strength. Israel just turned 73 May 14th.. The great tribulation is 7 years long. (80 if by strength) 80 - 7 = 73.... All believers will be raptured before the wrath of God starts.. Those left behind will be deceived by the gooberment.. Notice how there has been a up tick in the gooberment releasing classified video of UFO's..? I believe they will try to explain the rapture of God,, millions of people disappearing all at once as alien obductions to deceive those left behind.. That will usher in the new world order prophesied in the bible.. What better way to bring the entire world together than to fight against a perceived alien invasion????

I'm hoping this is how they'll accurately portray the atomic bomb's sound when seen from afar in Oppenheimer, total silence from the moment the fireball lights up to the cannon like sound when the shockwave passes through the onlookers and the audience (instead of the generic slow rumbling heard as soon as the fireball is seen as done in most media)
EDIT: yes, I've finally watched the film (and in IMAX as it should be seen) and it is indeed just as, if not better than I expected and more. I love that they even have scenes of them testing the explosive lenses before the Trinity test to sort of get people to expect how the sound is gonna be like

The creepy part is how quiet it really is. You would expect a loud and big sounding boom that lasted a while, when in reality it's a deafening quick bang and what sounds like strong wind. The strong wind sound is actually the explosion sucking up the ground, which explains the cloud color. The crater that test left is about 300 meters deep

It’s actually neither an EMP or radiation that makes that sound.
In those days audio was recorded along side the film image, next to the perforations of the film, the light was so incredibly bright that it bled over into the audio track through the area between the sprocket holes, hence the oscillatory effect as the sprockets movie by. Notice it’s amplitude is directly proportional to the brightness of the blast.
For what it’s worth that’s why it isn’t included in the reproduction of the audio, because it was more of an anomaly from the technology of the time rather than something anyone would hear either in real life or on a modern camera

"Time comes, and this tremendous flash out there is so bright that I duck, and I see this purple splotch on the floor of the truck. I said 'That's not it. That's an after image.' So I look back up, and I see this white light changing into yellow and then into orange. Clouds form and disappear again--from the compression and expansion of the shock wave.
Finally, a big ball of orange, the center that was so bright, becomes a big ball of orange that starts to rise and billow a little bit and get a little black around the edges, and then you see it's a big ball of smoke with flashes on the inside of the fire going out, the heat...
...Finally, after about a minute and a half, there's suddenly a tremendous noise--BANG, and then a rumble, like thunder--and that's what convinced me. Nobody had said a word during this whole thing. We were all just watching quietly. But this sound released everybody--released me particularly because the solidity of the sound at that distance meant that it had really worked.
The man next to me said, 'What's that?'
I said, 'That was the Bomb.'"
    - Richard Feynman, describing the Trinity test.

sks they’ve made a nuke that’s just like pure radiation, where the fallout is worse than the actual blast, think it was conceived as a way to get people out of an area and then keep them out, the mushroom cloud of said bomb is still higher in altitude than Mount Everest so that’s some real hard gamma ray shit right there, can’t remember the name of the bomb though :\
