Namaskar! Today, we will talk whether one should have basements We will discuss about this. When Vastu Shastra was introduced or then there was not concept of basements. In today's world basements are trending. So should there be basements, or not? If there can be basements, then how should they be? When.. see.. What is basement, a pit! When you dig the ground then a basement is constructed. According to Vastu Shastra, where should the pit be? Either in North, East or NorthEast. Hence, understand the fact that the basements in North, are still considered to be good basements. If, in any property, there is an option to construct then it should be towards North, East or NorthEast. In such properties where full basement is constructed, like basements in houses, full basements in industrial & commercial so, in such basements, how one should follow the Vastu Whenever you construct a full basement, and you are then make sure the SouthWestern wall should be thickest. Basement only in the SW direction is not good and curtain would not help. I can only comment on anything once I study the floor plan(s) in detail.
