Wow! Glad everyone is ok.
We are SO glad no one was on the property when the first waves crashed through. So scary!
I just saw that interview Jen Lewis did with US lighthouse society. I had no idea that a person was physically in the lens room filming that wave. I just assumed it was an outdoor camera. What an interesting experience, thank you so much for sharing
Thanks for listening to the podcast! It truly was a sight to behold. The ocean is powerful!!
Blessings to u all🫶🙌🙏
What a mess!! I hope you can get back to " normal" soon!
We're making a lot of progress! I'll take an updated progress video today. We are so thankful for our incredible volunteers!

Glad everyone was safe, but incredible that the waves were so huge that they were crashing all the way up onto to the bluffs like that!
It was amazing to arrive and see the force of the waves that morning! They were HUGE. The last time we had waves that broke into the lighthouse was in February of 1960. They broke through the back doors, cracked one window, and flooded out our Fog Signal Equipment that used to be housed there.
Thank you for posting this video. As bad as things got, it seems that many of the artifacts and displays were only minimally damaged. Was anything irreplaceable lost?
@@jeffreykparker Thankfully everything that was lost can be fixed or replaced! We'll have to rebuild the case for the cannon from the 1850 shipwreck of the 'Frolic', but thankfully almost everything is replaceable.
