In the fascinating world of earthquake engineering, every detail matters. In our latest video, we take a deep dive into the secrets behind earthquake resistance of buildings. Discover how engineers design structures capable of withstanding the dynamic forces generated by seismic events, using advanced structural systems, such as beams, columns and slabs, carefully dimensioned to dissipate and distribute the impact energy. Plus, explore fascinating vibration dampers, such as tuned mass dampers and viscous friction dampers, that play a crucial role in protecting key structures from catastrophic damage.
In this informative and visually stunning video, we reveal the secrets behind constructing earthquake-resistant buildings, from selecting special materials to implementing advanced computer modeling techniques. Learn about the latest seismic codes and standards, which set the standards for safe construction in earthquake-prone areas, and discover how engineers integrate innovative seismic protection strategies into their designs.
If you are an engineering student, an engineering professional, or simply curious about how buildings resist earthquakes, this video is for you. Get ready for an exciting journey into the world of earthquake engineering, where science meets creativity to create structures capable of withstanding nature's most extreme challenges. Don't miss it!

Igor, sempre achei muito interessante essa prática de usar molas ou amortecedores similares a molas, para amortecer a vibração de terremos em edifícios. Mas e quando o edifício é grande demais para molas, o que eles fazem??
Ah... Show de vídeo como sempre! Parabéns!
