The wildest thing about being a subscriber for so long is seeing the family all grown up through the years. Edit: That outro was equal parts hilarious and the stuff of nightmares.
Yeh, I started watching whilst he was still in Ireland. And I keep watching for his inventiveness and creativity. In this episode, he discovered his camera's secret Halloween/They Live filter mode, and made an affordable VR headset. And I still love that brass wire trick. Also wondering how much fun you could have by sticking a GoPro on top of the box, facing forward, backwards, or sideways.
It's wild. I remember when friends at work got pregnant and here it is two seconds later and their kids are walking and talking. Time goes so fast when you're not looking.
I think he says Nova's name at the beginning and end of every sentence to keep her focused. "Nova, I need you to lift a rock, Nova! NOVA, NOT THERE, NOVA! NOVA... NOVA!" She is becoming an amazing Warrior!
Whenever Nova shows up in a video I have to go back and watch that Famine Day sketch from a couple years ago. It's one of my favorite short videos on all of YT 😁
It’s nice to know that all the money he makes goes to his family because it sure as hell doesn’t go to his tools lol. Love your stuff man, wish I was half as talented and creative as you!
@@Dragonrider616 i know you weren't saying it to me, but I want to thank you for being kind and positive. While I personally love some playful toxicity, the internet needs more folks like you, being supportive.
I think we need more Nova she compliments your videos hilariously! No doubt about where she gets her sense of humour, I can only imagine what an evening around your dinner table must be like 😄
I guess my instructor succeeded back in the day, because watching that combination of gloves and a drillpress immediately made me recall half the shop safety lessons in a flash.
So I bought a 5in grinder for myself to cut out a bracket I wanted to make for a scooter headlight. As soon as it kicked on it made me appreciate the level of finesse this man has with all the heavy machines he uses and how creative he is with his problem solving.
The one I kept felling for is : Former friend : Hey have you seen the new goblin anime? Me : Oh? There's a new goblin anime? Nice what's the title? Former Friend Who Is Worse Than Horus : Goblin deez nuts!
Had to comment, I showed my uncle your videos, he's an old, retired welder/plater. He has mad respect for your skills, admiring your welder handling and also learned something new, as in the vinegar-makes-rust/resin-go-away thing 😁
Gotta say, as much as I love these videos, watching them when I have an infected eye that causes me intense pain with sudden changes in light and with all that welding.. may not have been the best idea.... but that's on me....You keep on making the awesome.
When he started trying to repair electronics I almost couldn't breathe from laughter. I knew exactly how it would end. Everything in the video would be wrong, it would get smashed or set on fire somehow, and he would use tools that were thirty times too big to try to undo whatever he did. I was not disappointed. I expected him to hopelessly destroy it and have to buy a new camera, though.
I absolutely love watching Mike go through the process of making these swords. I often wonder if there is an easier way of going about the making process or does Mike just like doing it the hard way? Haha, thank you for the content Sir.
I think he's more just set in his ways. Dude has got to have the money to buy a lathe but why when he can do it his way or have someone else use their lathe.
The entire point of these videos is he make big crazy sword by just grinding/welding. A proper metal fabrication setup like CNC lathe/plasma cutter/mill would make these things 10x easier. I think there are some stuff he’d have to change though like not using hard-oxide steel since idk how CNC machines would work on that but not an expert in this area so maybe that wouldn’t be an issue…
I've been watching your Video's since first seeing the Giant Swords programs you made for Discovery. Your video's are excellent, the way you explain what and why you're doing binds everything together, and the length of time they last is perfect. I find It so frustrating trying to watch some UA-cam content because the video run time is so short, I just get into it and I have to wait a day for the next 12 minute episode. Bleeeurgh, it's a pain in the ass. I don't even bother watch stuff that is less than 20 minutes now, except for music video's. So, basically keep up the awesome work, you make some of the very best content on UA-cam.

I watched this channel, this man and his whole family grow up with time. I've been a sub since he had just a few thousand subscribers and watched almost every video. There's something magical about this channel!
I have a vision of Nova in many years, making giant swords, still using Mike's old rusty workshop, keeping everything together through spit, grit, and elbow grease, telling her own child to "Ligma balls" while Mike watches and stares approvingly from the sidelines

Mike, I am a professional electronics bearded repair person, you did a really good job! That stuff isn't for amateurs. Really, you can be super proud :)
I'm equal parts frustrated and loving the fact Mike doesn't get a lathe. I don't know if some of the charm would be lost if Mike had access to a wider range of tools but seeing him make that handle section, my eye was twitching. Great stuff.
The one off jigs and clamps and used only to make one part is half the show , a lot would be lost I think without that , seeing him figure out how to make parts is my favorite
Michael starts loosing his sanity with that camera and you can tell it around 58:33 After that is the true descent into madness with that box 💀💀💀 "oh boy"
