For a 116 hp engine almost unbelievable acceleration and top speed figures and basically identical to the previous 130 hp version. Great consumption too thanks to the very long gearing.
probably it is 130hp but on paper they set on 116 because of taxes in some countries

For sure. I have the same 1.5 TSI with 130hp and the performance is exactly the same. I’m sure the dyno would show around 130 hp instead of 115

I‘m happy that VW doesn’t Downsize the engines that much… 116 PS compared to 1.5L is very good👍 Like the 1.6 FSI 115 PS
they have that 1.0tsi with 110-115hp but thast one are much worse in everything
They downsized for the golf with the 1.0 TSI 110hp, but for 2024 golf they went back
I don't like this generation of Golf and prefer the seats of the Seat Leon, but this engine's efficiency makes this a car you cannot avoid considering in this class. Amazing if you drive a lot of highway kilometers with speeds between 100-130!
Ich fahre seit Ende Juli das Faceliftmodell als Limousine, ebenfalls als 1,5 TSI mit 115 PS. Die günstigen Verbrauchswerte kann ich bestätigen, ich liege über Land IMMER unter 5 Litern, bei sehr zurückhaltender Fahrweise konnte ich den Verbrauch auf 4,1 Liter pro 100 km drücken..😊😊 Der Wagen geht für "nur" 115 PS wirklich gut! Ich finde den Motor allerdings recht brummig, wenn man ihn höher dreht.. er wird jedoch nicht wirklich laut, da sehr gut gedämmt. @Test Drive Freak: die Fahrzeuge in deinen Videos sind ja überwiegend Mietwagen, machst du beruflich fahrzeugüberführung oder sowas? Bitte den gleichen Wagen mit 150PS Handschalter testen. Unglaublich wie gut der 116PS performt, auf deinem Channel war der 318i Touring schon ein Sparfuchs aber der Golf hier unterbietet die Werte teilweise um einen liter (zbsp bei 80km/h). und Beschleunigung ist identisch zu dem BMW trotz Handschalter vs 8 gang ZF Wandler und 40PS weniger.

And if sedan like jetta it will better than hat. Sedan has always better aerodynamic as hatch

The MK7 had way better interior quality compared to this and better design without this tablet-screen. But I really like the engine, nice consumption and good performance for daily driving.
Not really. Mk7 looks very old inside and the plastic feels cheap.

does this engine have issues with oil consumption (es.1 liter every 5000km)?
with brandnew engine we dont know yet.

No one seems to mention the front grill which has way to much "visible" space, you can see the radiator which looks ugly. Also front assist is put from the logo down in that area.

This is a 140-150 hp performance, considerig the weight of the car, too. Are you sure it's really the 116 hp version?
its downgraded only by electronic and maybe exchaust ,and similar!1 on dyno it probably have around 130
It was 100% 116 ps, on car regristration paper was written 85 kw and 1498 cm3

Wie kann es sein, dass es mit 160 U/min im 6. Gang geht? Bei einem 1,5-Liter-Motor mit 150 PS scheint das unmöglich zu sein.
Kann schon sein, VW hat in der Vergangenheit schon bei anderen Autos bzw. Motor/Getriebekombinationen den 6. Gang sehr lange übersetzt. Aber ich bin ihn "noch" nicht gefahren. 🙂

@@bekirakar7314 Beim T5.1 2,5 TDI zum Beispiel. Den haben wir in der Firma...im 6. Gang geht absolut gar nichts mehr...ist halt ein absoluter "Spritspargang". Wenn ich nach Drehzahlband in dem Gang gehe wäre ich auch wahrscheinlich erst bei 250 km/h im Drehzahlbegenzer wenn nicht sogar noch mehr...😅
Edit: Ich will den Gang aber nicht schlecht reden. Zum mitschwimmen auf der AB bzw. wenn du nicht groß beschleunigst ist das super...gerade von der Lautstärke und vom Verbrauch her! 😉
Ich habe es nicht verstanden, aber trotzdem danke, ich wollte sagen, wie es bei 160 PS und 3000 U/min fahren kann, es sind nicht 116 PS, sondern 150, ich glaube, sie haben die 150 mit der Software reduziert, aber das ist nicht passiert , wenn man ihn auf dem Prüfstand testet, würde ich sagen, dass er definitiv mehr als 116 PS hat.@@michaelopitz170
@@bekirakar7314 Da haben sie absolut recht! Es ist der selbe Motor, nur mit 2 unterschiedlichen Leistungsstufen. Alles nur Software...bisschen mehr Ladedruck hier...bisschen mehr Einspritzung da...und fertig.
Die Getriebe sind für alle Benziner aber komplett gleich. Man muss ja froh sein dass im DSG-Zeitalter überhaupt noch ein Schaltgetriebe angeboten wird!

the 1.5 TSI is really an air pump, I would recommend the 2 liter TDI
I was speaking with mechanic in Skoda dealer. He told me that they get more cars with 2.0TDI than TSI which has problems. Due to TDI are very overloaded with all this “eco” shit like AdBlue system etc.
But you've seen the acceleration? Even with the 116HP version, 0-100 9s. Not an airpump at all in my opinion. And it has a timing belt, so way less headache with timing chains.
