Shige has the coolest backstory of any character in the osugame cinematic universe. Too good in 2013, gets banned on purpose, they don't want to unban him when he decided to come back, proceeds to set absolutely unbelievable offline scores in the meantime, has a random pizza with peppy, gets unbanned, attends the 2018 meet, refuses to elaborate. Typical anime MC.
He's the overall GOAT in my eyes, even as new skill comes and goes, he proves himself to be on top of the game even when he's not trying. I mean, the guy was considered #1 by the community for a decade, was the first insane player to make the ranks, and kinda just played and did whatever he wanted, not for fame or PP or anything. Just 'cause he was addidted to clicking them circles. That to me makes a better story and player than most the competition right now, though I do respect them and their skills.
