I went on a repotting rampage and got like 1/3 of my plants in clear pots before I stopped because it made seeing when I needed to water SO much easier and to see that I was actually getting the soil fully moist. I might get the rest of plants in clear pots one day but for now it's just my needy plants. I LOVE CLEAR PLANT POTS!! 🖤🖤
My best time of year all the snow beautiful
I am a HUGE fan of plastic liner pots. Then throughout the week if I walk past I can feel where the plant is at and just pop them out of their catchpot and water. Most planters are unglased on the inside and leach from the soil whereas with the plastic I'm not playing that game and it helped me greatly when I was new to plant keeping. Cookies and plantie care the perfect Sunday watch!~
It's DEFINITELY NOT just your kids! For yeeears that has been our problem too. Takes 15+ min to get them bundled up and they stay out for 10. 😂😫 They're 8 &12 now and I think this year was the first they stayed out longer...but not by much!

That's the same recipe I use for peanut butter cookies. 😊 I don't put chocolate chips though. But they are so soft and good.

I got rid of fungus knats about 5 months ago, and now I have thrips, and they are only on my monsteras. Makes me so mad. I keep treating them and making sure to keep up with it and idk what else to do. Anyones suggestions would be greatly appreciated ❤ love you taking us around with you while you do your planty stuff! Watching this gave me the motivation to get up and do stuff 😅😂 im very much a "ill just do it later" person, and then i never do. 😊
Hey there the only thing that got rid of my thrips was to make the thrip spray I take a tablespoon of hydrogen peroxide and a table spoon of alcohol about four drops of tea tree oil and castille peppermint soap about a tea spoon of that and the rest water goodbye thrips!! Also use a lint roller on your monstera leaves !! Good luck

It’s not just your kids, it’s all kids. It’s the same with play doh, it takes more time to get out the play doh stuff than it does for them to play with it. Then I have to clean up the mess afterwards.
I’m the same! I want people to come look at my plants and they don’t want to. Lol

Dish soap & water
What type of dish soap, I don’t want to kill any plants if I try. I only have been using the Dr. Bonner’s Castile soap with Neem oil.

Loved this! And when you said "I have snow in my boots" I started laughing and said at least it wasn't a snake in your boots. My daughter said...well that will be playing in my brain for the next hour... And then you said it!!! 😂😂😂 OMG - your eye! Is it possible you touched your crown of thorns and got some of the sap on your fingers/hand ..and then touched your eye? They are in the euphorbia family and can cause major eye injury. Been there - done that. It was awful. And if there is a slight possibility that is what happened - you need to call the dr.

Two things: it’s 100% more work than it’s worth getting kids dressed for the snow compared to how long they play 😆 &, I always overfill my saucers too and have to grab a towel😂

Good video with your mom & kids. Can you give your experience with Diatomaceous Earth? Since it was on the monstera for a while, it would be good to know if you find it an effective pest treatment. Also, can the plants treated with Diatomaceous Earth be exposed to light immediately? Thanks for sharing Harli!

That d. Earth stuff is a mess! I used it outside on my deck and it stuck to it so mad and no matter how many times I wiped the big alocasia leaves it never left them lol hope u had better luck than me
There’s a good chance that there is nothing in your eye and that dirt may have just scratched your eye! ❤ which is still terrible. I once got hit in the eye by a rose thorn bush riding a four wheeler. It was the worst, burning and swollen!

How do you like using planks vs moss poles for your climbers? Your new dining chairs look cool. On a side note...I don't know how ya'll can watch TV with it hung so high on the wall like that? I couldn't do it. I have my TV at eye level when seated on the couch.

Did you use to leave the sphagnum moss on the root ball and just plant directly into soil? What made you stop?
I still do that, but where this one has the rotted roots I wanted that out

Did you get lip injections? You look different?
I’ve had them for almost 4 yrs now so that’s not it. My fam & friends have said my face changed a lot this year. I think it’s either regular old aging or bc of stress 😫
