Getting Ready to Paint a Still Life

Hi Everyone!
In this video I am getting ready for a painting student and sharing the set up along with the objective for today's class.
The focus is on value study and painting a still life with that as the focus.
This is the second week with my student and we are having a lot of fun and success. In the opening image I have shared her work for the day.
She is working with a limited palette of primary colors to start. I have pulled a couple of examples of paintings by Gaughin where he used a lot of primary color.
