Login using Servlet and JSP

- In this video, you will learn the Creation of the Login Page using JSP and Servlet. A Simple JSP & Servlet User login page Example using Eclipse IDE. Also, I have used HttpSession for the Logout module
The control goes from the JSP Login page to a Servlet on submitting the form. The servlet further checks username and password with predefined values, if matches it redirects the user to the success page and shows a welcome message. If login fails it shows the login page again. If the user clicks on the logout button session is terminated.
This is a basic web application using Servlet and JSP.
Steps:
-how to create a login form using Servlet and JSP in Java
-how to create HttpSession for validation
-how to prevent access to specific pages to the users who are not logged in
i.e. show or display pages to only logged in users.
-if user is not logged in then show user login page or redirect the user to login page
else show the page

Include method purpose is to include output of other files(jsp/html/servlet).
Hence its showing output on input.jsp.

Hi, I have a few problems with creating my program. It'd be so helpful, if you could help me..
I have tomcat v10 and my jar file is java1.8.0.. My jdk in Eclipse is Java 18.
When I try to create a servlet file, It shows me the following errors.
It shows me error on the servlet file. In this line, "public class samplelogin extends HttpServlet {" it shows error on the class name "samplelogin". The error is: "The hierarchy of the type samplelogin is inconsistent" Also, I couldn't do anything SQL related.
I have added the jar file in classpath, but I couldn't add it in modulepath(Is it necessary?)
I have added the jar file in lib folder also.
I don't know what the problem is... Please help me out🥺
Also, For this login program, I didn't even use database. If there's a problem with the installation of tomcat, could you please tell me how to solve that? or how to delete and reinstall?
