Good concept. You can also bring a celphone with data and search for the karaoke version of the song they want to sing in UA-cam.... I bet you if you they would vibe to the song more if it's actually accompanied by music. :)
Filipino love to sing and I noticed that spanish speakers love to sing as well. I used to work with them in heared them singing while working they even danced sometimes during break.

Nearly all Filipinos can sing. Many can do it well and some can't or just won't. If given a mic, we tend to give our heart for each song we sing even if sintunado because we want to express ourselves regardless of what others may say. For this reason, you can hear a Filipino cantando cuando lavamos sus ropas, cocinamos, bañamos y en occaciones como cumpleaños, en las fiestas etc.

You should be on the commercial villages carrying around a karaoke system and ask passersby.
You should try somewhere in the park. Maybe in area where ask for an interview is a lil bit busy and most them either came from work or meeting someone.

Jajajajaja, yo hubiera esperado que introducieras la entrevista con una "Pwede magtanong" en vez de preguntarles en inglés y luego preguntarle el nombre en tagalo. Me gustó este video realmente.
La cultura filipina es mucho de las canciones, al igual que ustedes los dominicanos, así como de los cubanos, puertorriqueños o mexicanos, de manera que un altísimo porcentaje de los pinoy cantan, pero el problema de ellos es con la vergüenza y no el canto. Hace muchísimos años que interactué en Japón con filipinos y definitivamente que son gente muy nice. En aquel tiempo no existían las cámaras digitales y algo muy común era que te pidieran fotos de tus familiares y te mostraran de los suyos, algo que yo no entendía; y lo otro extraño para mi es que pagaran sobrepeso en los aviones llevando regalos voluminosos y pesados de cosas que podían comprar en su país.
Ur right some are really shy to sing in public. Also there are some who 's singtunado but love to sing. they have the talent to face the people to make some fun. It doesn't matter. The thing is most Filipino really have a beautiful voice. Coz We sing from our heart. Just saying

I understand those who did not want to participate, I think if I were them, I would do the same. It is really embarrassing for me to sing in some random places haha, I can only sing comfortably at home. And to share my opinion as a Filipino regarding that topic about All Filipinos can sing, I think it is really more on true than false. Not everyone can really sing so beautifully but it's very rare to hear Filipinos singing really bad. And also, even those who sing bad do love singing, so everyone can really sing hahaha.

Try Cebuanos/Cebuanas. They're more versatile & more hospitable 😊. You can't really yield spectacular experience there in Manila & Luzon.

Most Filipinos are camera shy, you can’t see their voice that way, most Filipinos needs to be comfortable to people around them before they can sing, that’s why most of them can only show their pure talents in front of someone they know like, friends families or colleagues. And also that’s why you see them really enjoying a party bc most of the people in the crowd are not strangers
