Issues is one of my favorite bands, Glad your reacting to this song. Band has been through alot of emotional things before releasing this song, there's a article with the guitarist AJ, he check himself into rehab because he tried to kill himself. But the screaming is from AJ. But through it all in love Issues, love your reactions, and love your drumming 🤘🤘

The screaming part is sang by guitarist AJ Rebollo. He’s the founding member of issues along with Tyler Carter. There’s also a song AEON (featuring AJ from issues) by Crystal Lake released this year too.

AJ (the guitarist) did the screams on this song! They have a setup now where every member of the band (including Tyler and Josh!) do harsh vocals now on the songs that require them and Sky even does some backing cleans too.
Bro I agreed with every , single, One, of your comments on this song. AJ had been screaming on blue wall from their headspace album but it was so low key between michaels vocals . Love this vid man, great job.
the thing you said about contrast, especially with the comparison to Wage War, is very true. i think tyler’s unique voice brings a lot of the contrast kind of automatically bc his cleans are kind of dramatically different from anything else in the genre.

I had this song on replay one of my favorite off this album.
I was never the biggest fan of issues tbh but I really like the chorus of this song. What you said about the previous records not being coherent makes sooo much sense so maybe that's why they never blew me away haha

Michael was kicked out of the band because he wasn't fully committed to singing/screaming. They spent hundreds of dollars for lessons for him but he never practiced. It had to happen and Issues is better off with 4 dedicated musicians.

I completely agree with you about the black and white comparison you made around 5:00. I have felt this way about the genre for a long time. The day I discovered Hands Like Houses and their heavy djenty music with all clean vocals was the day I realized how much better it sounds than this forced back and forth heavy/light that’s always done in the genre. Issues sounds at the absolute apex of their career right now.

Love your videos brother. Question. I played drums on and off for nearly 15 years and never got to the level you're at. That being said, I noticed that one I felt I was proficient at a few types of drumming styles I didn't feel comfortable playing others. I started with Jazz but quickly transitioned to Blues, Rock and Rap Rock through school. When I tried to go back to jazz years later, I found the timing and syncopation far more difficult than when I originally played the style. You tear up the kit playing rock but I'd be interested in knowing how do you feel you are at playing a style that is different from for norm, like Blues or Jazz. Love your stuff!

Issues without all the screams is so much better. Tyler is an outstanding vocalist who can carry a band like this with his voice, he doesn't need generic screams cutting him off.
theres a few songs on the album where the screams are more background noise and it works so much better then them being up front in the mix.
