finally mirage 2000 has 8 missiles
As a french main and a french, it hurts my eyes seeing it with 8 missiles, it should have 6, france never gave it an 8 missile configuration

@@chybaegredz9682 That's whyat the french do, they complain. I'm ok with it being better than irl but still, it's werid. Same with the ground ordinance, it never used them, and probably never was able to carry them, and now that the f16am is there, there is no point in having an imaginary loadout on the 2000-5, when we could also just put an earlier variant of the 2000D

The rafale F2 has the mica IR aka a infrared version of the mica, see it has the R-73 but better in every way with a crazy good irccm, and with the crazy broken fly performance of the rafale that can legit fight a f-22 yk that the game need atleast the Eurofighter to get a worthy opponent

45 years of Mirage 2000 in 2023.
IDK why the F-15C can't carry 8 AMRAAM's when the Mirage 2000 gets 6 MICA's and 2 Magic 2's. Most people would run 6 AMRAAM's and 2 AIM-9M's anyway.
It will probably get patched soon.
In current IRCCM meta they will be useless... Top tier jets is now mostly about ground hugging and equipping as much IR missiles as you can possibly get.
I was hoping the mirage would get the MICA IR variant. Now that would be a game changer IMO
I don't believe it will be useless, especially since there will be matches with fewer than 10 players on each team. I believe we might see an increase in the average skill level of players, making BVR kills increasingly challenging, leading to inevitable dogfights in the late game of matches. But it's something we need to see with our own eyes; it's still too early to assume any kind of event
There are IR guided versions of the R-77 too

I’m grinding this beautiful aircraft now I made the mistake of putting everything into the mirage 4000 line and I did that thinking that aircraft could get fox 3 and it def doesn’t have that ability so now I’m scrambling to finish this plane before the update so I can literally ruin all these dudes with r77s days

Sadly the mica missile got nerf for no reason like in game it goes to 50km max but irl it has 80km range. Nothing can explain that like Russian also have 6 fox3 but with 80km range, it's just another massive L from gaijin to the french nation for no valuables reason
(even if multipathing makes fox3 not usable for long shot, it doesn't explain the nerfed mica when everyone else is not nerfed on the range)
Apparently the stat card shows 50km but in the files it's 80km, so we will have to wait until final release.

MICA has the best acceleration of any missile in the game (yes, better, than r-27er), so for any engagement closer, than 20 km, mica is better, than anything.
And also, for me, R-77 performs the worst out of all fox 3s on the Dev, but maybe it's just me.
@@-..----.--.-... pl-12 is the worst one to be honest + you can only have 2 on the aircraft who can bring them without talking about the fact it's less maneuverable than the r-77
20km is generous because everyone is hugging the deck so multipathing op and no missile will touch a target, for the short range yeah the mica is op thankfully to the thrust vectoring, imagine if it was less maneuverable for unknown reason wouldn't that be unfair for the french?
At the end my point stay the same, any missile on the stat cards have 80km except the mica for no reason, they need to put the true value on the stat card.
For once it won't be a U.S or USSR op missile to be the top dog but it doesn't mean the mirage player will know what they are doing

acredito que não, não conheço muito dos aviões frances mas se não me engano o 5F foi atualizado com tecnologia desenvolvida do programa do rafale, e uma das tecnologias dessa herança tenha sido os MICAs, ao menos é isso com a maioria dos avi2ões do inicio da 4°gen, nenhum deles levou fox 3 realmente, com exceção do F-14
How did you get the afterburner skin to work without blurring the rest of the aircraft skin?
its the "haze" effect, u need to turn it on in the graphic settings

For close range shots together with R-77definitely but because they pull so much they lose a lot of energy so for bvr aim 120 will probably be better also bc it burns longer so it retains more energy

I heard that Gaijin is going to revisit the performance of the F-16. To me, it still doesn't make sense for it to win a 1c so easily against the Mirage 2000, MiG-29, F-15, and Su-27

Why are the missiles extremely easy to evade at close distances, even more from far. So, to compensate for the ease of evading them, we decrease the distance. At least that's what I observed in the DEV server
what is the name of the setting that you can constantly make the radar search

what so mirage can now carry 8 missiles, i knew for 6, but 8????
Its always had alot of pylons but magics couldnt go on the fuselage pylons. Now you can run 4 magic 2s on the out pylons and 4 mica on the inners or 2 magics and 2 micas on the outers with 4 more micas on the inners.

no, it can't.
IRL the aircraft was not tested with it because all testing with the air-frame ended in 1988. to put things in perspective, the first mica test was in 1992.
more over, the mirage 2000 had to get a new radar to use the MICA, radar that the 4000 never had.
