- High Performance Tennis Coach Gary Kushnirovich highlights some important tips to work on your Approach and Volley shots.
Placement: Set up Slinger to feed down the line
Speed: Mid-High
Feed: High
Elevation: 0 Degrees
Here are some thing you should focus on:
1️⃣ Follow your approach
2️⃣ Volley short cross over the net strap
3️⃣ Side shuffle diagonally backwards with two steps at a time, when the Slinger Bag spits the next ball out use it as an opportunity to work on defending an aggressive deep ball so crossover and get yourself to stay low
4️⃣ Stay balanced as you hit your shots

Wow! The fast feed makes this drill quite demanding. Two groundstrokes for every volley is a great idea.
I just did a practice session almost exactly like this a couple weeks ago. Not only practicing the approach and volley, the back paddling is a great footwork drill.
It would be nice if you have the technical info (speed settings and etc) on your clips.
i’ll do it tomorrow looks like a great killer drill!
Cannot wait to get one
Can you share speed & elevation settings ?
Useful drill, both money shots in singles or doubles.
nice drill
What are the settings you used?
What did you have the settings on for this drill?
Ive seen some with black bars to protect the buttons and some with silver. Are there 2 different versions?
My Slinger bag balls aren’t consistent. Many times I have to go to the other side just to shake them up so they drop into the dispenser. Very annoying.
Mine too. Also in this video the spin does not seem too much. Mine spins the ball too much after it bounces, it shoots at you. In this video it seems just nice.
Adrian, sometimes balls can get stuck on the netting inside the hopper if it isn't tight (creating a sort of shelf). The best solution for this is to tighten the netting using the velcro - the tighter the better.
@@ernie8117 just answered Adrian on the balls getting stuck in the hopper, I hope that answer assists you as well. In terms of the topspin, the amount of topspin generated can be managed by altering the ball speed and elevation angle settings to find a launch sequence that works best for your game. Slinger is also easily moved on the court and we suggest testing varying court placements to find the best mix of placement, speed, angle and ball frequency for your level of play.
@@SlingerBag Thanks. That helped.
@@SlingerBag Can you kindly demonstrate how to do this please cos I have the same issue with my slinger?
Thanks
