I have the T-Boss 550 and this video was very, very helpful. My unit came directly from the assembly plant in Texas and arrived without engine oil which I found when I inspected off the flatbed. So I checked all my fluids and the plug on the gear box was way over torqued also. I will see how the filter goes in a few days (first oil change). Yah, I had a few words for where that oil dip stick is! I will be armed with a funnel with a hose (THANKS). I am 76YO, so maybe I will die beffore I have to do serious work on this machine, but they sure did not make servicing a priority in their design. Again, thanks, this really helped. BTW, I have the operating and service manual and they never give a part number for the filter.
Great Video, helped so much on my initial Tboss 550 Oil Change - Bought a funnel with a long 2 ft bendable hose as suggested and worked like a charm, though I still enjoyed your frustrating comments, LOL.
I have the 560 TBoss which is the same SxS essentially. You need a stainless steel long flexible funnel to reach that dipstick/fill port. I have no idea why they build things like this????
These are definitely odd to work on and a lot of that is because the engine is a clone of one that was in an ATV. That dipstick location drives me nuts lol. If you do a google search you will find free service manuals which will have all the info you need. Also, Massimo is selling these kits with the incorrect oil weight. Unfortunately they know next to nothing about their own product. The manufacturer (Linhai) calls for a 15W40.. I suggest following it in the future, your wet clutch will thank you!
@@DirtbagOutdoors Yes we are a dealer/service center, however we have stopped purchasing units from them because they screwed us on almost $2K worth of warranty claims. As far as the axles go, pretty sure every T-Boss 550 we've ever sold developed oil leaks on one or both sides of the rear differential. Something you can do to help prevent those seals from going so quick is put a little slit in the end of the accordion looking diff vent tube to allow the building pressure to escape.
@@funvalleymotorsports4559 oh man. Not ideal. My axle seal started leaking again. I’m not a happy camper. It would be different if there were readily available parts and service centers. I won’t buy another.
Not happy with TSC didn't give my owners manual to me .Called Garland TX got the run around .like the unit but needs more power and my engine response is crappy runs like it's timings retarded.
Hey Funvalley - since you have some knowledge with these UTV's wanted to get your thoughts on front and rear diff fluid levels. I had already read that they come very low on gear oil and I just purhcased a T-Boss 760 and only put 3 miles on it but thought I better check and theres hardly any gear oil. The rear diff is like half empty. Every diff I've ever serviced is you fill it up until it trickles out the fill plug and the Missmao manual states the same, but then contradicts it's self in the same sentence. Did you run into this issue? I plan on filling both diffs up until the gear oil trickles out.
Very poor design by the manufacturer. I was thinking about getting one, but now am not so sure. If they can't get a simple thing like an oil change right so it is easy to do, what else did they mess up. Thank you for the video. It really opened my eyes.
Thanks! Im not familiar with other brands, so i dont know if this is common or not. If a name brand was just a bit more, i would go with the name brand. If it's a lot more, the massimo would come back on the list. I got a great deal, so it was worth it for me to go massimo and deal with small issues
@@DirtbagOutdoors Thank you for your insite. I am not much of a mechanic. Never really liked working on vehicles. I can fix most things in the home, just not on a vehicle. I could do the oil change, but the other problem you had, I would not have been able to trouble shoot it. I have looked at these and do agree the price for what you get is awesome. Just no one here dealers here to work on the hard stuff.
This whole machine screams designed by a non mechanic, been working on it at work and just getting to a switch in the dash was a 1 hour task... Not looking forward to the rest of the maintenance.
I agree. I have no reverse lights now. Im actually not sure they ever worked. It looks like im going to have to disassemble damn near the entire thing to figure it out.
Even an oil change turns into a project thanks for great job and heads up to problems,I will begetting a new T-550 this week.

As others have said, thanks for showing what really happens when doing an oil change on these machines.
Thank you for demonstrating the real life issues that happen with an oil change. Videos that make it look easy are bs. This was real 😁
Thanks! It was an interesting learning experience, to say the least, lol

Lol glad you enjoyed it and found it helpful!
Enjoyed the raw instead of edited. I learned from this. Great tip of using hose for a extension.
Awesome, thanks for the comment and I'm glad I could help!
Hello! Great video! At how many km do you change the oil? What about the air filter and gasoline filter? Thank you!
Very helpful , thank you 😎
I will be changing the oil in mine this upcoming weekend. This was extremely helpful and a great video.
Thank you!!
Excellent video, thank you for making it easy to figure this process out.
Thank you so much! Glad I could help!

Have the dealer check the drain plug and filter and retorque so the first oil change is fun, not weird.

Interesting. Are you a dealer? Do you see issues with leaking axles?
