I love how Ben just celebrates good Basketball
Videos like this are extremely entertaining and helps contextualize professional basketball to us casual hoopers. More videos like this should be made as it shows how beautiful basketball is.
Ben is so good at explaining what is going on to basketball casuals. His analyses are not like "this guy averaged this, that guy averaged that". He shows all the options the player had and explains what he chose to do and why. The little adjustments that teams do to counter a certain player/team are what make this game so entertaining.
Trae Young top 5 player in the league
@@stott2hothe’s barely a top 5 pg relax
@@stott2hot I would pick him in my top 30. But anything more than that is very questionable given his defensive skills and size. Yes he can shoot but it’s it.
There is something like this... it's this guys channel that been around for like 10 years. Thinking basketball, also " by any means basketball" is just as good but for different reasons.
Coach Brown really brought that Warriors Basketball IQ to Kings. Loving it
that pass from fox against gsw was like damm next level
@@feliperocha5098the footwork to stay inbounds is crazy
Thinking Basketball just got hired by NBA? 4 videos already, no hate, just loving it :)
They been partnered for about a year and half. They probably just got a deal done to put as many of his old videos on the platform and UA-cam. Probably expect to have double uploads on his channel and the NBA channel moving forward this season though.
I think the 2nd half of this video was brand-new content though, same with the Scoot video@@dylanbach8578
@@dylanbach8578that's great....it way better than those stupid debates and narratives the nba media tries to shove down our throats
It's a win win for both. NBA gets play analysis they can advertise, TB gets more subscribers.
Notice at 18:27, after Jokic flashes to the middle to collapse the defense, he even signals to KCP that he needs to lob it to AG behind him to complete beating the trap. Truly a basketball maestro.
MPJ also signals him though. i think they were running some kind o possible set for that kind of situation
He also does it without looking. The dudes crazy 😂
@@daddyfuse50people say he doesn’t have highlights plays. Bro has like 5 a game minimum. I swear they don’t watch him
@@kachow5830 most games Joker is a 10 minute highlight reel by himself lol
Proof a quick brain can be more important than athleticism
D Fox and Trey Young passing was sensational with the deception and chess move pass , great read by Bron aswell. And Jokic explaining to Gordon. Great stuff a great video
18:24 Jokic not only brings AG's defender into the middle, but also points out to KCP what he should do (points up with his finger). He didn't touch the ball in the entire play. These kinds of reads are what makes Jokic special.
So, a month ago he was special
Great stuff as always! Better then any analyst on TV.
Congrats Thinking Basketball! Been following for awhile and love seeing you getting recognition from 'The Assocation'!
Incredible basketball analysis. Understanding the game on multiple different levels, and thinking beyond meta. Thinking about how each move on the court affects the end result and how effective those said moves are. Ben Taylor is an incredible basketball mind.
He’s so good at showing perfect examples of how the game evolves and grows even in as short a time at 48 minutes. Case and point, he shows how D’Angelo Russel manipulates the defense in a way that is only possible if you know the game VERY deeply (e.g. defensive schemes, coverages, how teams are switching, rotating, etc.) and if you’re able to identify how the defense is playing you in that moment in time, which is incredibly hard at an NBA level. Ben Taylor is not only able to identify exactly how the raptors want to play A.D., but he’s also able to notice the subtleties of how D’Lo manipulates the defense. Ben Taylor should be at the very least an assistant coach somewhere in the league. Thats how how confident i am in how much he knows the game. Im so glad the NBA channel is giving him the recognition he deserves.
glazing so hard
@@kskutoob your mom glazed my shit last night wild
congrats @thinking basketball , ive been watching you for a few years and its nice to the NBA recognized your talent
Coach Daniel was a good video analyst too
such a dope analysis, what amazes me is the players ability to read defensive schemes, whats goin on currently in real time plays and adjust to it for pin point passing the examples of trae young and what fox did as shown in the video is just crazy basketball at its highest level and I absolutely love it
That fox pass was crazy good holy moly.
Curry clapping having tasted his own medicine is so wholesome lol. Also, Thinking Basketball on NBA channel is well deserved.
Listening to this man has taught me a lot about basketball
Thank you for highlighting my favorite Trae pass of the season. Not only does he fake with his eyes, he has a hook in his pass that really sells it. And it's with his weak hand out of a double to ice the game in OT
Great clips. Can't tk u enough
analysis man got paid! ive been watching his content for over a year. him and JxmyHighRoller are the best basketball content creators on youtube hands down

Great idea
Ben is the MVP with these analysis.
So glad NBA work with Thinking Basketball now.
Thats the video we waited for
Awesome!
Dude,that's what I love about basketball ❤
Phenomenal content
That was defensive wizardry by Lebron being a step ahead and breaking up that play. Regardless of being a step slower he is a step ahead mentally and that makes all the difference. One of reasons why he is still so good even after playing two decades!
Ey is thinking basketball! You're in spotlight now dude happy for yoy
14:08 Is that Chicharito?!!
Knowing that all the play is running in just few second, in second! incredible
great co-op

i love how he called reaves matt ryan
15:47 I love moving screens
2:48austin reaves
Yooo my mans made it
Great
NBA is back this week y’all ❤
I love Jokic's demeanor. And I share his mindset too. You don't need to be all over the place, be ultra passionate, aggressive, loud, etc, to dominate. I like his low profile. Not seeking the spotlight and just do what he's paid to do and deliver. That's professionalism at its best. I would argue that's more professional than Kobe. Kobe insane work ethic but also had unprofessional outbursts and drama. American players culturally have inflated egos.
This video has made me realize how smart Trae is. Dude has really high BBIQ
I really hope the nba is giving Ben a big bag
W collab
That Spurs play 🤌
kings are the most fun to watch last season for sure
