    I agree with basically everything you said in this video, and I have been saying similar things to my friends about ranking up as you did in this video. I currently have 8 characters at least Tekken King, and even though I’m not the best player by any means, I try really hard to learn at least one thing by the end of every session, and that’s how I’ve been improving. Like you said, so many people play this game with the mindset that they “deserve X rank” but they never put the time into actually getting better, in order to get that rank they want.
    For me, my main goal when I started playing Tekken 8 was to get to Tekken God, and while I still haven’t done that yet (currently a few games off of it as Lee), I know I can get it if I grind a bit because I spend a lot of time labbing replays, practicing throw breaks, and playing other characters to learn about them while also getting better fundamentals as a whole. So when I eventually do get the rank I want, I think I’d deserve it because of the time sink I’ve been doing in order to actually get better. Like you said, gotta do your homework. Great video bro

      @@BannockMeatball thank you so much gang ! I have a pt 2 to this aswell but Yk I’m sitting on what to do for a next video to stop contemplating . As for your ranking up. I love how u sum up how people say they “deserve” a certain rank. Beautifully put .. I don’t add my two cents against those people who say that.. I just fight them or check them and be like nah.. u deserve your current rank for the most part .. 8 chars at tekken king is nothing to scoff at too btw it means you’re learning the game in a dif way similar to me and a few others . You have to lock it in with lee for a lil to get that rank but again when u do it will be So sweet when u do!

    This is the best attitude and outlook towards ranked that I've seen. It helps a lot more with enjoying the game too.
    Just hit Tekken God with Hwoarang the other week, and I barely have time to play.
    People complain so easily without labbing and fundis, and then blame the devs instead of adapting in the meantime.

    • @MrKamiry

      I appreciate it gang, I feel like you gotta be optimistic lot of people complain are people who don’t think outside the box “ people who literally are trapped in the box “ and people who aren’t getting their way. Like I’m ranking dvj just to understand why everyone say he ass . 2 days of playing him he’s tekken emperor .. I have no knowledge of mishimas now just learning .. I understand complaints I do but u can always deal with characters if u learn practice and stay open to new ideas . A lot of people want instant gratification .. and Easy ranks but sorry newcomers that’s not how tekken works majority of the time unless u know it .

    Great talk man, im climbing rank, I usually hit a landmark and play quick matches to get accustomed to the new prowess boost as well as learn matchups by stacking replays, especially that they added death matches back. Then I'll hit up rank when i feel comfortable to rank up. TG is my most recent, so I'll be hitting GoD soon c:

      That took a lot of time .. for me in tekken 7 I used the chicken app.. and I had close friends who wanted to learn a lot at the same time …from doa 5lr -> into tekken 7 s1.. we didn’t have frames ingame .. it was learning by heart.. and frames changed a lot over the years .. playing all the chars a little HELPED” it also hurts if you’re ranking 1 specifc char too tho.. can confuse buttons …” but it helped me overall!l. Took a long time .. but overtime it becomes worth it . Replays with all details on including button history is the cheat sheet!

    I have watched 100 videos, and practiced, but there is something I am missing here.
    I know the game, I know frames, I have movement, concept of timing, settups, I played few years.
    And here I am, stuck at Tekken King with Hwoarang as my first Tekken 8 main. Never played him before.
    Now, some people talk aboug patterns and reading your opobent, but for the love of christ, what am I supposed to read?
    Timing, strings all that I understand, but at the end of the day, I feel like everyone I fight is just random, and stuff just keeps smashing me.
    I also know skilled players will switch timing, but what am I missing in this game? I can’t find the riddle for the death of me.
    How is it possible to know all that about the game, and still somehow suck.
    What am I missing?

    • @MrKamiry
      @MrKamiry  12 днів тому +1

      @@Keelox100 because you possibly seem to know from a viewers perspective and ingame possibly react completely different. Most of the times u can view things better from a distance then when you’re actually in that situation real time . For example most people know things are -15 standing punish wise but just stare at it . Why is that? Because of a multitude of things .. your mental state while inside of ranked is def 1 of them .. people in ranked also play a lot more DESPERATE then any other mode because they got a gun to they dead too. Your reactions possibly delayed and or possibly mad linear and people take advantage of it . I’m not sure I would legit have to watch your replays and videos and explain what I THINK is going on . U can usually tell what a person thinks during tanked and by the way they’re playing. I’m not a genius though but I’ve been through it alot .. I play ALL TIERS OF CHARACTERS and my MAIN IS THE WORST… so I AM UNDERSTANDING of ALOT.. OF TIMING of PUNISHMENT .. of SCARE FACTORS .. list goes on . Also YOU. As a play can be overthinking yourself in a match up.. I OVERTHINK EVERYTIME I GET IN A MATCH my twitch stream helps me mellow out and laugh and chill out .. I don’t EVER PLAY OFF STREAM because I’d prolly break my monitor .. but that’s a ME PROBLEM. I like to play while mellow ..trust me you seem intelligent enough to get passed tk. ESP if you’re self aware already lol

    • @Keelox100
      @Keelox100 12 днів тому

      @ I appreciate your reply, I can also be as calm and chill as possible. But yes, my reaction time at times is a bit slower, but I do awake if someone tries taking advantage of it, I adapt to that.
      My issue is, my decition making, enter “timing” I know about “instant-delayed” timing, but like you said, in ranked, I cab be all over the place, and it’s annoying not being sure what to look for.
      I know obvious stuff, High/Mid/Low, Throw mixups, but within a match, I am unsure what to expext.
      I feel at times they have all the advantages, and I have none. It can also be fun, even so.
      My question still remains, what is the sercret of going up in ranked.
      What do you guys read when you fight an oponent? What are the patterns you look for? How can you make out what is random and what is consistant? Thank you

    nah, last point I don't agree. I don't owe anyone and they don't owe me anything. If they skip go for it, if I do, it's my business. Would I learn how to play against a cheeser? maybe, but I don't think its worth my mental over a guy that I won't prob meet again, especially in ranked. At some point I also get tired of playing against kazuyas, clives, kings and reinas everyday. I'll take a break and watch a video on how to counter x character or watch my replays instead.

      They should change ranked so that you lose points for running away early on the first to 2 set. You booted up ranked to play, you should be incentivized to finish the first to 2.
      In tournament if you leave in the middle of the set, you lose the set. That's what they're trying to copy for ranked, so I'd go all the way with it
