I don't think that is true, because every time you play the ME trilogy you create that universe in your mind and as long as you hold it there it exists until you finish the games and you go back to reality - until you start the trilogy again...

First time I played ME1 and hit the main menu and that music started to play with the Earth in the background. I have never felt such a sense of wonder and sheer emotion from a main menu before. Easily my greatest gaming experience.
New Worlds, An End once and for all. I love it. I'm not just a fan. ME changed my life. It woke up my fascination for space, aliens and so on. Pls Shepard. Come back someday. so many good memories came flooding back listening to this. Thank you. My name is Commander Smity Smity Shepard, and this is my favorite playlist on UA-cam.
Personal feelings towards the 'endings' aside, I really love this trilogy. The story they created, the emotions I felt, the characters I came to love. No other game has ever done this for me. The journey was amazing, the destination not so much. I won't waste time talking about Andromeda.
Loved the suicide mission theme. "Human, you've changed nothing. Your species has the attention of those infinitely your greater. That which you know as Reapers are your salvation through destruction!". Forever your our dearest Harby.
Mass Effect is the best Sci-fi, cyberpunk, adventure, and RP franchise to date. Other than the disappointing ME3 ending, it really has a place in my hearts. I will always remember my crew and my adventure... lets hope Mass Effect: Andromeda will be better.
I never thought there can be a game that makes me remember all the NPCs and tasks(even the side ones). It's already been years since I finish the game series, but they appear in my mind vividly again and again. And it's the first time for me to cry out so loud. When I finish all the trilogy, I was and am and might will always wish that Shepard's journey will never ends. The whole Normandy, the family can travel among the galaxy together, no more reapers, maybe fight the evil for justice, maybe even doing some business, just no politics (lol). Then I realize that, Shepard has his/her own destiny to fulfill, there's no way to avoid, even I save my game during the citadel party or earlier and stop playing the game. What should be done must be done. Still, those months spent on the Normandy is the best! I shall cherish the memories forever.
to think that many gamers haven't experienced this game in its entirety. And even some mass effect fans haven't been able to experience what the game becomes when you play all 3 all the way through with a climactic citadel dlc ending. The story is so rich that it makes you feel real emotions. Many players cry at times, laugh, get frustrated and angry at the villains. And in some cases, actually make real connections with the characters because they feel so real and fleshed out. The writing team, no, the whole dev team for this series deserves to be recognized as the greatest of greats. To make a series this well with the shadow of the EA looming over you speaks to their determination, and will to make great games. So sad to see what happened with andromeda, but This series will always be a testament to the greatest gaming experience mankind has to offer.
I listen to this every night as I fall asleep. something about this music and these games just makes something in me still, go quiet and contemplative. such an incredible feeling...like the weight of the entire galaxy depends on me. The definition of 'hiraeth' is 'intense nostalgia for a home you've never been to'. that's what this is to me.
I love this series, even andromeda [I know, hang me by my toes] But there are so many memorable quotes and how you can play the game that I would describe it as a 'interactive epic.' Some of the quotes that the characters say are still chilling and I have played through the series twice now and it never gets old. The character dynamics that if you were with them more and earned their loyalty that it would have heartwarming moments in the future. And the story of how one man and a team can take down anything with enough determination is just sheer motivation [ Gen. Chaos Maddis, learn from this] I just remember talking down Saren to regain his emotion, getting everyone out of the Collector Base alive, Saving the Krogan from eventual extinction, Saving the council, bringing peace between the quarians and geth. All while being a complete badass with powers to match. Nothing makes me more happy than playing this series and the pure satisfaction of doing good things to people and stopping extinction again in a cycle millions of years long. This is the best game I know of and anything that opposes it will be squashed.
