How zealous and sincere are we d followers of Christ, in d march to eternity: lovers of d works of righteousness; and yet seems to carry with us to paradise that which we are connected to in our defence convincedly made against truth for justifying falsehood, as we hesitate to reason or comply with scripture!

Of Babylon, at d time brought to view in this prophesy, it is declared: "her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities. Revelation 18:5. She has filled up d measure of her guilt, and destruction is about to fall upon her. But God still has a people in Babylon; and before d visitation of His judgments these faithful ones must be called out, that they partake not of her sins and "receive not of her plagues." Hence d movement symbolized by d angel coming down from heaven, lightening d earth with his glory and crying mightily with a strong voice, announcing d sins of Babylon. In connection with his message d call is heard: "Come out of her, My people." With d issue thus clearly brought before him, whoever shall trample upon God's law to obey a human enactment receives d mark of d beast; he accepts d sign of allegiance to d power which he chooses to obey instead of God.
The warning from heaven is: "if any man worship d beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, d same shall drink of d wine of d wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into d cup of His indignation." Revelation 14:9-10. But not one is made to suffer d wrath of God until d truth has been brought home to his mind and conscience, and has been rejected.
There are many who have never had an opportunity to hear d special truths for this time. The obligation of d fourth commandment has never been set before them in its true light. He who reads every heart and tries every motive will leave none who desire a knowledge of d truth, to be deceived as to d issues of d controversy. The decree is not to be urged upon d people blindly. Everyone is to have sufficient light to make his decision intelligently. The sabbath will be d great test of loyalty, for it is d point of truth especially controverted. When d final test shall be brought to bear upon men, then d line of distinction will be drawn between those who serve God and serve Him not.
