Nice video - I note you have a frame around your outboard on the little boat- Try making a TEMPORARY ply rudder, and clamp it onto the frame, then lock your outboard at straight ahead position and see if it steers better with the rudder. A project for the better weather perhaps - Bless you all - John

There at the end, Alan's yowling sounded more like "Merry Christmas" to me. And I think I heard a "Happy New Year" as you put her down. 🤔 But, you know cats, it was probably more like "put me down and feed me now. I command you!" kind of thing. 🤷♂ ..... 😁

I lived on a narrow boat for over fifty years and enjoyed every minute of it.. unfortunately I had to leave the narrow boat life behind because of my health ..
Issues.. how ever thanks to you and a few others . the memories of my life keep flooding back .
There are a few things that I miss . one being the community spirit that abounds on the canals.
The sense of belonging is something that you will always remember no matter what you decide to do in the future..

Two things have you ever been to the canal museum in Welshpool . They have a horse drawn visitor boat . The other thing couldn't you have towed the butty with rambler ?

He and Granny used to go on holidays walking the canals. They once did the Leeds-Liverpool.

I'm loving these Derbyshire vlogs, many childhood holidays spent in the areas you visited. My family originate in Belper. There is Lander Lane named after my ancestors! Thank you as ever for your fabulous content. I love every minute ❤ I have to have an MRI scan today which I'm not looking forward to as I'm claustrophobic.
