@@ImAnOverthinkerr Guess I forgot to add the final 2 chapters after I was done with the book. I mainly just put the chapters in the comments so I knew where I left off.
I was so scared I was going to have to listen to an English teacher narrate this but then I get this guy who sounds like a professional voice actor. There is a God
honestly his voice was really plain and almost robotic, he speaks in past tense but is narrating a emotionless voiced character I understand that but at first it was really boring, but to my surprise his voice gets more pleasant but I have heard audiobooks with such great voice actors that you end up sitting at the edge of your seat wondering what the next chapter will bring almost feeling as if you are there in the book hearing it all and witnessing it.
This narrator is AMAZING & his voice is *perfect* for the character & storyline. This is a phenomenal story, but the reason I've listened to this book 4x is because of how enjoyable it is to listen to it in this characters voice. Superb
I don’t usually comment on youtube videos as it’s proven not to be very necessary, but I think I’ll make an exception for this one. I struggle with attention deficit disorder (ADD), and reading books for literature classes of a higher level has proved to be very difficult. Absorbing more than I could have ever hoped for in fewer than two hours time is truly a miracle. Thank you.
Wow you’re such a life saver!!! I have adhd so it’s hard for me to focus while reading in my head or even aloud, but then I found this audio for the book I’m reading for school and I am just so intrigued and I can keep focused! I applaud you and wish you had more views and subscribers!!!
I start school tomorrow and we had to read this book for winter break but I completely forgot about the book so now I’m staying up listening to this, I still am very thankful there is an audiobook bc I cannot concentrate when reading.
had to read this book for school during the summer. it really helped because I get so distracted easily. his voice made me concentrate and was very helpful!
I was rummaging around for a book at the library when I came across the thin book. Felt a little cheated because the story wasn't the whole book. There was an edited version with it.
Was expecting a bland book from my teacher to read, but this book is beautiful. Not will I listen to it again, but I will buy the book and go along with it playing this video. Your voice has helped me understand the true beauty of this book.
I read this back in high school. It was one of few required readings that I enjoyed. It was one of very few required readings that the whole class enjoyed.
Anthem, a Christmas Carol, an impossible balance, the Hiram Key, and Of Mice and Men are favorite books of all time. Truly life changing. If your reading this, put these on your reading list❤
Thank you so much! I don’t like reading novels and big texts on my own it takes me longer to complete them. It’s literally the morning of my test on this book and I just finished the last chapter after reading some everyday for 3 days. Thank you so much
Who are all these based teachers having kids read this book????? The only book that comes close to this when I was in high school was reading about Stalins gulags
Way cool! I read this book in high school, circa 1978. The one and only word I could remember from that reading, so many years ago was the final one: EGO.
This was a very good read, thank you! I enjoyed it thoroughly :) (also, hadn't realised this book is popular in some parts of the world as a high school novel. Haha, quite a few school kids trying to finish assignments out here)
It does not end pages early. I am a teacher, and I checked the ending with a copy in my classroom. The final words are the final words in the text. It is only 105 pages long.
What a bad writer this Ayn Rand. No depth, lots of repetition, constant preaching, a totally ridiculous setting, on top of all the book really tries hard to pass as this super serious, grandiose thing. Painful.
It's simple the loss and rediscovery of self. This was written during the cold war where Communism was a real threat where they preach individualism to be evil and group collective is right. A world built upon that ideal will be hell. This is a story where that ideal became law and where one man and woman rediscovered self. It's great especially for the modern day where the push to tear down individualism for group collective is on the rise again.
It's a simple story. It isn't very well written. So what? The fundamental point that Rand is making is valuable and beautiful. Objectivism did more for me, my career and my happiness than any other thing I have encountered.
@@kingghidorah6689 I never critiqued nothing bout the content or the actual philosophy the writing is absolute ass.
