Wir präsentieren Euch das Capo Vaticano und unser Hotel Costa Degli Dei in Ricadi.
Das Capo Vaticano ist ein auf einem Felsvorsprung gelegenes Kap in Kalabrien in der Gemeinde Ricadi.
Vom Kap aus bietet sich ein weiter Blick bis zur Straße von Messina und alle Äolischen Inseln (Stromboli, Vulcano, Lipari, Salina, Filicudi, Alicudi und Panarea). Bei guter Sicht sind die hohen Strompfeiler zu erkennen, über die Sizilien einst von Kalabrien aus oberirdisch mit elektrischem Strom versorgt wurde.
Mit dem Vatikan hat der Ort nichts zu tun. Der Name bezieht sich auf ein Orakel, das in Zeiten der Besiedlung durch Griechen von den Seefahrern besucht worden ist. Von dieser historischen Stätte entstammt der ursprüngliche Name Capo dei Vaticinii (deutsch: Kap der Prophezeiungen). Am eigentlichen Kap befindet sich der Leuchtturm im abgesperrten Gelände. Ein Parkplatz und ein touristischer Pfad sowie eine kleine Gaststätte ergänzen das touristische Angebot.
Kalabrien ist voller Schönheit, mit vielen Sehenswürdigkeiten, Natur, tollen Küsten und traumhaften Badebuchten.

We present you the Capo Vaticano and our Hotel Costa Degli Dei in Ricadi.
Capo Vaticano is a cape located on a rocky outcrop in Calabria in the municipality of Ricadi.
From the cape there is a wide view of the Strait of Messina and all the Aeolian Islands (Stromboli, Vulcano, Lipari, Salina, Filicudi, Alicudi and Panarea). When visibility is good, you can see the high power pillars through which Sicily was once supplied with electricity above ground from Calabria.
The place has nothing to do with the Vatican. The name refers to an oracle that was visited by sailors during the time of Greek settlement. The original name Capo dei Vaticinii (German: Cape of Prophecies) comes from this historical site. On the actual cape, the lighthouse is located in a cordoned-off area. A parking lot and a tourist path as well as a small restaurant complete the tourist offer.
Calabria is full of beauty, with many sights, nature, great coasts and fantastic bathing bays.

Capo Vaticano è un promontorio situato su uno sperone roccioso in Calabria nel comune di Ricadi.
Dal promontorio si gode un'ampia vista dello Stretto di Messina e di tutte le Isole Eolie (Stromboli, Vulcano, Lipari, Salina, Filicudi, Alicudi e Panarea). Quando la visibilità è buona si possono vedere gli alti pilastri attraverso i quali un tempo la Sicilia veniva rifornita di energia elettrica in superficie dalla Calabria.
La Calabria è piena di bellezza, con tante attrazioni, natura, grandi coste e fantastiche baie balneabili.

Hello, thank you for looking. There is a train station in Ricadi. But the train doesn't stop in Capo Vaticano. Unfortunately, we didn't see any bus connections. There probably aren't any. You'd better ask there. I'm sorry.

Capo Vaticano is spectacular for its oceanic environment! Beautiful coastal resort for a lovely vacation. The white sand beach is perfect for a sunbath. The palms are so vibrant in the beach. The hotel is so cozy and inviting to all the tourists. This is a wonderful spot for a gorgeous trip! Like 88 Have a great time! My greetings from Sweden!
