Your 100% correct those were ultra spx carbs if the slides were 3.0, Q-247 nozzles 6CEYA needles. All factory 680spx ultra spec's with triple pipes. That's the number one cause of those mono block's burning down is the carb boots dryrot and crack causing it to suck air creating it to lean out. The spi carb boots suck unfortunately but if you can find OEM or kimpex boots they are the best to replace the originals. Nice to see someone who actually knows there shit 👍🏁 keep that old iron screaming man good job.
i like that shop is niceeee.... i like one for sleds then one for my lawn mowers.. real cubs ... and one for gen use. haha .. stock all 3 with all needed tools ...
Do you know what size track drivers are in that sled I’m looking to put a 2” paddle on my 121 and can’t find 7 tooth drivers do you have any info on how to make that work?
Just picked up a 97 xlt 600. Hope I got a decent sled! 3400 miles on it, overall in decent condition, going out on it next week and am soaking up everything I can on the sled. You say 97 is the good mono? I need to find details but no clue where to start
If it has the extra oil line to the pto it is the revamped monoblock . I have that in my 97 XC 600 . It will have a better crank and high compression head .
@@43dukedog I had a blast out on the sled, just before leaving I pulled the carbs and cleaned em, all 3 idle jets were 100% plugged reinstalled and sync’d the carbs, verified oil pump was set properly., started like a dream and pulled like a champ, crisp throttle response... I found upon returning my rear suspension was all messed up. Torsion springs all cattywompus and frontmost shock bushing was MIA. for those without fox shocks, a chunk of 5/8 heater hose works perfectly since nobody seems to make bushings for the non fox suspension.
@@patbarch8278 yeah my rear springs are shot too. If you ever need a waterpump you can find one on ebay aftermarket its all you can get now around 130 bucks i just installed one easy and works great ride on bro
Just picked up a 94 Indy 500. The extra10 should fit mine too right? I also want to do the skid extension. Any info would be awesome man thanks in advance
Xtra 10 will fit but not without some modifications to the mounting locations in the rear. My rail extensions are from Tracks USA. I believe they still sell them new.
This guy seem chill af

A little bit of polish on that windshield would make it look even shinier I bet. Beautiful sled regardless. Great video
