- The family of a 17-year-old who was seriously hurt after being hit by a Kent County deputy’s vehicle during a chase two weeks ago is demanding answers. (April 22, 2024)
Regardless whether the teen was involved in a crime, a vehicle is a weapon when used against a human. No different than a firearm. Wrong move by sheriff deputy. Bad enough regular people commit crimes, we don't need rogue cops breaking laws either, if that is the result of the investigation.
and they better not try to sue
Too many people out here stealing. For every one story like this you hear about dozens of innocent pedestrian victims
Way too many people are out here stealing. However, based on this video, the kid was a passenger and might not have even known the vehicle was stolen.
@@LisaKM231 then why’d he run?
I should've said he might not have known when he got in. Regardless, he's just a teenager... When I was his age, I ran from cops just because I had cigarettes lol.
Either way, does being a passenger in a joyride justify life-threatening injuries?
@@LisaKM231 I’m sure you’ve seen all the reports over the past few years of pedestrians getting injured or worse by teenagers driving reckless. You steal a car and the chips fall where they do. I don’t hear the family putting any of the blame on the driver who definitely did know the car was stolen
Better him, than me or you
@WhateverHappenedToGaryCooper They definitely should be putting blame on the driver. I haven't seen many reports because, unfortunately, reckless driving is too common to make the news... I just witness it firsthand every time I drive.
Sounds like the kid didn't see ir pay attention to the lights emergency
The family told the news media that he was a very good boy. He never shot anybody after he robbed them. LOL
Its the kids fault he was part if the crime i doubt they chased him i believe he went into the road i want to see the video i bet he went in from the cruiser slowing down isn't easy you run from police uts both the driver and passenger fault for commiting a crime
THE ANSWERSSS are that the boy had no guidance , started running from the coos after being wanted and got hit. He BEEN acting a fool these past two summers by being apart of the crime in GR. FAMILIES stop getting in TV crying when the person is in the WRONG
Amen
Stop stealing stuff.
Who stole the car?
another thief
😢
Anybody that thinks it's okay to hit somebody with a vehicle should not have a badge or be on the streets honestly prayers and justice for the family
