As a retired police officer, the term, "Perverting the course of justice," comes to mind if these officers lied in court in order to obtain a conviction. It's hard to believe in this day and age when they were wearing bodycams! They deserve to go. And this group, and the public, deserve an apology from the Commissioner, and the police minister who oversaw this shit-show.

Im Australian and completely agree with the Covid statement. Although a country with record breaking problems like America was certainly eye opening when we went there on holiday for 3months between the homeless literally everywhere, the gun violence we encountered and the amount of poor people that were extremely sick 🤒 and having no healthcare to support them was worse then so called third world countries. Was certainly a shock learning more people live in the sewers under Las Vegas then above ground in homes 🏡

COMPLETELY FABRICATED EVIDENCE!!! These police should be charged with corruption charges as well as criminal charges for filing evidence that they knew to be false. They deserve to go to jail and lose their jobs, any future entitlements and be put on the front page of every national newspaper. I am glad they were caught and innocent people did not go to jail.

The worst that will happen to them is that they will be suspended with full pay. At the end of that that will claim "mental health issues or stress" and be Pensioned off with full pay until they reach retirement age. The number of sworn members doing this needs to be disclosed to the public.

The critics of this man need to know that If you unlawfully physically attacked by police you can defend yourself. If you see someone unlawfully physically attacked by police you can intervene and assist the victim. We had a case in Perth where police unlawfully attacked three family members. In their defence they inflicted serious injuries on one constable. The family members were charged. The family hired a QC and fought the case. They were found not guilty.
This is true but you will most likely end up dead, no matter if you're in the right any cop you harm who calls for backup will end up with bullets in yourself.
Don't take ANYTHING about these series of events on trust or at face value.
Agencies want and even DEPEND on people making the mistake of falling for their provocation ( ie responding with violence ). . Nick Paterson is selling a course of action (" defensive violence ") that perfectly serves corrupt agency needs, especially when those agencies orchestrate conflict or terror events as a pretext to grab more power. ( have you noticed the escalation of these events recently, and in some cases the " failure" of the public to fall for provocation as the police expect?).
Please note that I am making no statement about Patterson's motivation , simply about the pragmatics of who and what the course of action he is selling serves.

What I heard was you have rights, rights that we should all be taught and made aware of.
When you know your rights it is harder for a corrupt system to take them from you.
The key word is "unlawfully", which is ONLY established after the fact
So, before everybody runs off half-cocked thinking they can simply intervene in an incident involving police and an offender because Avi told them so...just know you need to be careful...
The bare minimum is going before a Magistrate...the maximim is choosing your own adventure

Not really, only by implication which is shaky legal ground. This is a victory, of course, but only in the sense that the police evidence, relied upon for a prosecution, has been ruled out as unreliable/inadmissable. The judge has still been careful in her statements; not calling the police liars, but just implying their statements are at odds with the video evidence.
Only if you can afford the hundreds of thousands of dollars to fight it, these guys had actual footage and still struggled for 3 years trying to prove it, only 1% of victims from covid era have gotten satisfaction, but it cost them everything they had, the poor can't afford to fight, and the rich have 20 lawyers, can someone please explain to me how this is fair
