0:57 I can't do that, I still have my lasso tool selected. How do you switch to the "paint" tool? It doesn't even show the brush in my "refine edge" window.
First make sure you have made a selection, refine edge only works on selections. Then click on the Refine Edge button. The brush tool will be automatically selected.
Hi George. I have a problem I have the pastiest version 2020 of photoshop elements and cannot seem to do a panorama photomerge. I go to the "guided" tab. Select photomerge panorama. Then I highlight 3 photos from the photobin I want to merge. I have it set to auto panorama. I click "create panorama" and it just jumps me back to the start of the guided tab where it lists the 6 different photomerge options. No other pop-ups. Nothing showed up in the expert tab. I'm not sure what I am doing wrong.
Make sure that you have a good overlap on your photos or Photoshop Elements won't see them as part of a panorama. I like having about 1/3 of the picture overlapping for a good panorama
I followed your directions but the checkerboard pattern did not come around my picture. I repeated your steps three times. No checkerboard pattern. I know if I don't get this pattern that means my old background is still there.
You went fast because you were showing 5 different techniques. I will have to watch your video again and pick the one easiest for me to understand and follow.
Hi Jill, this is a quick overview of several different ways to change backgrounds. I have longer versions on each technique in other videos on my channel.

Make sure you hide the background layer.
@@HTGGeorge thanks I will try again. Did you hide the background when you went through the steps? I will watch again to see.

Yep, just a fast overview. I have shown all of these techniques separately in other videos. This was just a taste of what is possible.
too rushed
