Have completed Stage 1, Mechanical Restoration. Ready for whatever you want to finish. The turquois paint on the bed came off with a pressure washer. It's great to drive, sitting on top of the world. Straight-pipe exhausts from the wide-block, A318-3, heavy-duty, truck engine makes you feel like you have all the power you'll ever need. Mainly runs in the top three gears on the 5-speed transmission. Top end is any highway speed around here. Bottom two gears are granny and great-granny. From idle to full revs in 1st, the truck explodes off the line, past the July 4th parade judges stand, with a tremendous roar from the stakes, scattering kids, horses, worried parents, and melts any "snowflakes" in it's path.
