What you called a dado rail is actually a picture rail. A dado rail is set at about waist height on tge wall.
The "ceiling detail" around tge edge is actually cornice. The ceiling detail is tge central rose area!

I grew up in an Edwardian house almost identical to yours and the rooms which are your master and bathroom were the servants bedrooms!

Ahh woww that’s so interesting! I’ve been researching & learning everything about those times I’m obsessed! Our neighbour has a cleaner come every week 🫣 I’ll be cleaning this house on my own 😅 it’s going to take double the time to film a clean with me video for you guys 😂😂

what an amazing house in such a beautifull location I can feel the history and atmosphere of the place even without visiting it in person I normally find renovations can be boring but this one has got me excited I cant wait to see more

The entry is so lovely. Had to laugh at the smoking room. You did such a great job explaining and it really allowed me to see past the cosmetic things. Only thing I would reconsider is the fire in kitchen. While in theory it is lovely, you said yourself it will be a family home and a fireplace in the middle like that isn’t conducive to flow and small kids. There are many fireplaces you can restore but I would let that one go. It isn’t practical . I also hope you feel better I am watching your vids as I am currently tucked up with a tummy bug myself 😢.

Hello, no my love, because to knock a wall down you have to insert a steel beam to support the structure.. so you have a bit of wall all the way along preserving the ceilings 🙌🏽 Xo
