This is definitely in our goals. Right now I'm walking it all. Takes more time than I'd like, but eventually we'll find a used 4 wheeler. That grass is stunningly beautiful!
I'd like to see you guys build some perimeter fence, that's going to be my next project. I have a couple miles to build. I also need some posts if you have any left...corners and lines.
We went 7 years and walked in every paddock without an ATV. We packed the cow mineral on a homemade pack frame that mounted on my back. So yes we can survive without the ATV, just makes it easier and faster with it.
With all the rain we are getting the forages are exploding in growth. We will be back on that same paddock in 30 days. By just removing the top third of the plant, it is ready to graze again in 30 days as long as we get moisture.
The good ol days of helping Greg put in fence. Now I have to do it by myself but it's always the best part of my day to get the cows fresh grass.
Anna, it is great to hear from you. I remember those days that you helped me put in paddocks and lastly build tree swallow houses!!!

Yes. Would be interested in that as well.
Looks like good exercise. If your 4 wheeler breaks down, you in a bind? Or can your operation survive without it?

Do you use any automated openers for the paddocks, like the Batlatch, or just open everything by hand?
Everything is opened by hand. The batt latches would be neat though.
Where is the best place to get the poly wire and reel dates too-
Great
When will they be back in there

Have you tried the gallager smart fence? Thoughts on this?
It is a good fence, a bit labor intensive to put up versus polybraid.
