LOL, yes, we get that you love watching marine mammals in itty-bitty tanks, living lives of misery. The rest of us have a sense of empathy/compassion, and a large helping of common sense. Try it sometime.
No, I've seen the work they do saving 100-150 marine mammals a year while being heckled by people like you. I've seen them save the life of a false killer whale while people on the Park Board called for it to be euthanized. You don't have empathy, you smugly anthropomorphize animals and put your feelings above their actual well being. If you get your way animals will die for no good reason. A person who loves animals will give a hungry dog their chocolate bar that's why actual facts and information from experts matter.
No connection between the dolphin slaughter and the ones at the Vancouver Aquarium. They're rescues from the other side of Japan. The director of Vancouver Aquarium Uncovered agrees with this.
That's exactly what they do. Oceans and Fisheries Canada, an unrelated government agency determines which marine mammals can be released and if they can they are. That film isn not a good source of info.
Taken from FB. AQUARIUM TURMOIL: 20 MILLION DOLLAR MISREPRESENTATION ON CONSERVATION, RESEARCH & EDUCATION The Vancouver Aquarium financial statements during 2004 and 2013 appear to show much higher allocation into conservation, research and education than actually allocated. In 2008 for example, they show 19% allocation but in fact it was only 8%. The balance was restricted for an external program called POST (Pacific Ocean Shelf Tracking). POST rented two offices from the aquarium beginning in 2001 and ending in 2012. POST studied fish movement on the west coast for ten years. They were funded by various foundations with their money being held by the Vancouver Aquarium. The amounts were approximately 2 million a year and were penciled under conservation, research and education. The aquarium financials show this money as allocated to these areas, however, they were restricted for POST. The difference between what the aquarium says they spent and what they actually did is 20 million dollars. We are asking the aquarium to explain any inconsistencies with our findings. If however these numbers are accurate as they appear to be, who is responsible and will the money be returned to conservation, research and education?
Love how the aquarium staff keeps encouraging Rick and using the same calming voice that they do when they're training the animals. XD
One of my favourite Canadians in one of my favourite places. :)

Rick Mercer is officially the coolest person ever!
Aww rip spinnaker he was always my favourite dolphin when I was a kid

The Vancouver aquarium has a evil side
Which is?
Guess you haven't watched the documentary, have you....
Vancouver Aquarium Uncovered? Awful. The thing's been on youtube for a year and had less than 5000 views for a reason. No new info revealed.

dolphins arent fish
Hey, Rick?
watch "The Cove". Stop supporting the animals misery. Check out "Vancouver Aquarium Uncovered", it's on UA-cam.

I said nothing about the Taiji slaughter, did I? Nope, nope, I didn't. should be rehabbed and RELEASED, if at all possible.

Why? Because you haven't seen it, I guess. Stop making excuses for the enjoyment you derive from imprisoned animals.
