Welcome to our Lowkey FITB 2 Reaction!!! This is our latest video reaction from our new music reaction channel Beer’s & Bars. Here we listen, react, and breakdown bars while enjoying some of our favorite beers. We were impatiently waiting to get to this next session due to the previous bars of heroin blessing our ears! The question we had the whole time was how can Lowkey top part 1? And DAMN! The answer was well received, and we know now not to question artist of this caliber. The whole scheme is too much to put into words because they don’t do this artist justice! NUFF said just watch and you’ll see why! BRING ON PART 3!! Make sure to Like, Comment and Subscribe for our reactions like this

Grenfell had just happened, that's the reason he reads that second part. He wanted to put Grenfell in there and just wrote it. Great reaction guys, as always!
Lowkey was in The People's Army crew with Akala, Mic Righteous, English Frank, Logic and many others
That's what I'm saying Logic the peoples army general
Salute me I’ll salute you right back
As always
@@toyahcrimes3611🫡
It’s what logic says at the end of his freestyles
Couple of questions you guys asked:
1) Where's Lowkey from? He was born to an Iraqi mother and an English father.
2) "You won't feel your chains until the day you begin to move" is a paraphrased quote by Rosa Luxembourg
3) This song was after Grenfell
4) Lowkey was initially part of underground legendary group called "Poisonous Poets" which consisted of Doc Brown (then rap legend, famous comedian now), Tony D (undisputed battle rap champion in the UK), Reveal, Stylah, Therapist. They later went their own ways. Lowkey then was part of group called "People's Army". Not the usual rap group. People's Army was more like a collective of Hip Hop artists who spoke for the people. Their music was against the powers that be. And yes Akala, Lowkey, Mic Righteous, Logic, and many others were part of this group .
Thanks 🙏🍻
@@BeersBars please make sure Logic fire in the booth is added. It's not the American rapper but he has 2 parts. People's army stand up!
@@BeersBars Doc Brown, mentioned above, came back to the rap game a few years back and dropped a FITB. He only did the one and it's only about 7 minutes (from memory) so could be a nice easy one to fit in to the schedule
@@BeersBars should have also said - Doc Brown was the one who gave Lowkey his break.
He isn't really a rapper anymore - as he's now an actor and comedian. He's no akala, he's no Mic Righteous, he's no Low-key... (his comedy routine rap stuff is something totally separate and well worth looking at one day) but if you wanna see the man who was the early 00s battle rap champion/host in the UK then it's a good FITB just for history's sake.
Loving the reaction to UK stuff. Keep it up (as well as more retro Wu stuff) ;-)
@@funkr77 Yessss!
The 3rd verse he did "power to..
" is a track of his called Letter To The 1%
You really need to dig into his back catalogue. Obamanation, Ahmed, Terrorist, Voices of The Voiceless, Long Live Palestine.
His debut album, Soundtrack To The Struggle is a classic.
Great reaction as always!
@@farnell11 soundtrack to the struggle is up there as one of my all time great albums.
@@farnell11 also the tune voices of the voiceless by low-key featuring Immortal Technique is on another level, absolute realness!!
@@farnell11 soundtrack to the struggle has got to be on my top ten list of greatest albums of all time, along with things like the album Bleach-Nirvana, Pink Floyd-dark Side of the Moon and some stuff by TAD and The Manaquin Pussys for example.
Lowkey Ahmed, this one always gets me personally as i was on that beach a week before ahmed.
Return of lowkey also 🔥
I sadly have to admit that i only discovered lowkey recently when he dropped "Palestine will never die." I'm not sure i have ever been so blown away by a rapper. Not only is he absolute FIRE on the mic, he's a lyrical genius and a true hero the way he gives voice to the voiceless through his activism. My absolute favorite MC out there right now by a mile.
Where you're from bro?
I'm from South Africa he's definitely my goat Pac right behind him
🇿🇦❤️👊
@@shaheempashua6924 I live in the US, we have a lack of conscious artists over here, the ones that are here get the same treatment lowkey and Akala get, no air play at all.
@@updem yeah we see what's going on in your country the sad reality is most Americans are oblivious to the reality of who and what their government and mainstream media is. And I'm not talking about the faces we see I'm talking about the establishment the hegemonic rule that has the world on it's knees
Lowkey makes me feel dumb and enlightened at the same time.
He is both brilliant and courageous. 🐐
Lowkey is the truth. One of the most controversial UK artists which is why you won't hear him in the mainstream. People's army ✊ Recommend Lowkey - Relatives
Lowkey's song Relatives is actually one of the most moving songs I've ever heard. I could rap it word by word every time and still get goosebumps from the imagery in the song.
Couple more checks in the box!!
My 3 favourite artists are mic righteous, akala and lowkey and the best way I can explain them is this
Mic righteous relates his pain and experiences, shows his vulnerabilities
Akala educates with his knowledge
Lowkey shines lights on issues that are ignored and attacks those responsible with his music
I'm sure Grenfell fire had only just happened when Lowkey did this FITB, so at short notice he re-wrote alot of the material to include his anger at the gov't & agencies over Grenfell~💚
When he says "I attack the alphabet again", he's referring to his song "Alphabet Assassin" which was a banger in its own right.
In case you were wondering what he's saying at 39:05, he's saying "El pueblo unido jamas sera vencido" which translates to "the people united will never be defeated".
Awesome thank you 🙏🍻
El pueblo unido, jamás será vencido!"....is a Chilean song for the popular unity government who represented the working class people in the 1970 and means "The people united will never be defeated"
Lowkey is of Iraqi descendance...which is why he speaks out a lot about what's happening in the Middle East
You'll have to do "Return of Lowkey " his cadence and flow is next level...plus he's put a old interview with Akala talking about why people like Lowkey and himself aren't played on mainstream radio...thats pretty interesting to hear
Lowkey is one of the best rappers on the planet. Very few could do what he does and the way he does it.
Charlies the only man to air this guy, in the day he was basically blackballed EVERYWHERE and still is on most platforms
Been looking forward to this, Lowkey is a genius. His FITB's are amazing. He has a song "Alphabet assassin" basically his version of Papoose Alphabetical slaughter. Also he has songs with Akala - Behind my painted smile, and I still believe. He was blackballed from the industry and had about a 5 year break where we heard nothing from him, that's why there's a long break between some of his music
Aah that makes sense! Couple more checks in the box on all of those!
Phi life cypher were the first to murder the alphabet, way back when
@BeersBars during that break he was also getting his masters in history
I'm sure that the UK government came for him and tried to charge him under anti terrorism laws for his criticism of the legality of the UKs involvement in invading Iraq and Afghanistan
Still waiting for them to do alphabet assassin
They're gonna be mad they waited this long😂
Yo is low-key ...... lowkey is the secret king of uk rap ..... its fact
Akala, Lowkey, English frank and mic righteous, English frank's 100 bars of truth part 1,2 & 3 are amazing.
Frank was sick and his bars of truth 2 is one of my favourite freestyles, his fitb is great as well- hes clearly off his tits and Charlie looks genuinely worried when he dips in his bag to gift him presents 😆 Pity he fucked up, still good body of work 😬
Definitely one of the best reactions I've seen. You guys are killing it. Looking forward to what you have coming up in the future.
This is the worthy reaction n attention his music deserves fully rate you 2 for this 💪💯
Keep doin his whole journey
Real hip hop!!!!
You don't know what you've let yasrlf in for
This guy is another breed of I.q and intelligence
🙏
@@BeersBars 🙏💪💯
look into Lowkey and you will understand why most people dont hear about him. im not 100% but from what i remember hes a musician and an activist, his music has been banned from Tv and Radio for years now. and he was also arrested and branded a terrorist for some of the topics he speaks about which governments dont want to be told. theres a lot of history surrounding this guy. its worth diving in to
You wanna see what he can really do check out return off lowkey
Peoples Army. (Uk) Logic Fire in the Booth part 1 and 2
This man is actual fire. He’s a real lyricist
He got a song called bars for my brother written for his brother who committed suicide when he was like 17/18
Wow that is sad 😮💨
Yea this is heavy
This man’s range is unbelievable I swear, I’ve never seen a rapper with such a wide range of ability before it’s actually crazy.
If you react to the return of lowkey, Akala has a lil cameo at the end and says the same thing about why Lowkey doesn't get radioplay
"Charlie" it's like I've been in university for 5 years 😂 thanks for answering our prayers, you guys are the best love from the UK this my favourite channel on youtube💯
Really appreciate that 🙏🍻
Lowkey’s songs to react to:
The Return of Lowkey

@@BeersBars well that sounds very exciting 🙏🏻🔥🔥🔥🫶🏻
“If they don’t let us dream; than we won’t let them sleep” is basically saying power to the people of the powerful don’t allow us to dream then we will not be silenced.
When I first heard this fire in the booth I decided to learn about every person and event he references… it’s been a ride and has literally changed the way I see at the world … beautiful…
Looooovvvving these uk reactions , please low-key - return of low-key
Mic righteous- gone and pathways ❤❤❤big love from uk 🇬🇧…. Oh and I’m looking forward to your view on the song obamanation …
The inventor of dynamite was named Nobel and he formed the Nobel prizes with the money he made because he felt such guilt
Ah thanks for the clarification 🙏🍻

Yes definitely... It's so lyrically dense you have to Google most of the individual bars :)
@@twinklingfullstop9629 it’s lyrical lead it’s that dense;).. when I listen to him or Taskforce they take me to another realm bro..
Added to the list!!

Nobody's fucking with this guy
Mic Righteous ft. Akala - The Journey 🔥
Amazing reaction 💥
Big up 2u guys 🙂
Lowkey is elite 🔥
You know lowkey did a Diss track to ghetts???
Called " top 1 selected"
Pure🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
He humbled ghetts n after that bought ghetts out to hid show n actually changed ghetts mindset at the time he says so himself
Lowkey - I'm back
👀
@@BeersBars yeah I know lol
Check it out
Lowkey-top 1selected
Ghetts Diss
💪💯🔥💯
It wasn't really a diss track. Ghetts was pissed off that he wasn't mentioned in the Top 10 best emcees list but Lowkey was tied with Chipmunk at the 10th position. Ghetts assumed since Charlie loved Lowkey, he vetoed Lowkey's name in the list. Lowkey literally says at the end that he agrees with Ghetts, "He is one of the best emcees this country has ever seen.... But so am I..."
A bit more on the context:
Lowkey's song "Top 1 Selected" was a response to Ghetts song "Who's On the Panel" that Ghetts released after MTVs top 10 rappers list was released. It was a ridiculous list with only a couple of credible names (at that time) and was disrespectful to both Ghetts and Lowkey.
Lowkey's song was called "Top 1 Selected" because right after MTV's list was released and Ghetts did his song, an independent UK organisation did a poll on who the people thought the best emcee was in the UK. Lowkey was voted no. 1 by the people with a considerable difference between the 1st and 2nd position.
In the song "Top 1 Selected", he says "K-Lashed my name off". KLash was an alias of another UK Hip Hop legend Klashnekoff who won the 10th place on the independent poll. Since Lowkey was put at 10th place in the MTV list, he was referring to that.
@@RealityyBytes mate it's a direct Diss to ghetts which humbled him if you remember the live footage of ghetts n devlin talking reckless?????? He gor humbled n since that day ghetts became more humbled n changed his whole aura
Call a spade a spade wen u see it
Laow the Bullshit mate!!!
At the end of his third verse he speaks Spanish and Arabic, the translation is probably poor but I believe it is, spanish/Latin - the people united will never be defeated, and the Arabic is the people demand the fall of the system, but we're used and comman chants during uprisings against the government in Chile and Egypt
Thank you fellas for this channel life gets so busy that we forget that these tunes r out there, this has brought bk lot of memories. The legend that is lowkey 😎👊👍👌✌frm the UK
Lad’s you need to check out Jehst “Alcoholic Author” “1979” “England” and more importantly “High Plains Anthem”… Jehst is one of my favourite Rappers full stop. Also I recommend The Four Owls “Old Earth” 🔥🔥🔥🔥… real Hip Hop I guarantee…
It's so nice to see peeps putting UK HIP HOP out there not just Grime yna 💯
@@michaelrichardson2418 bro I grew up on D&B,Grime,US 90’s Hip Hop aswel but for me Jehst and Taskforce etc are the essence of Hip Hop/Rap too me 🔥🔥💯
If You Don't Let Us Dream, We Won't Let You Sleep
is a book by Anders Lustgarten, even if you don't read the book just see a quick summary of what it's about, idk if he was referencing the book or using it as a slogan since they tried to censor/blackball his career and even label him as a "terrorist" for making music.
Thank you 🙏🍻
By far the best Lowkey reaction I’ve ever seen! Nice!!!
Gents you've listened to both now ... who was best in your opinion akala, wretch or this man (the answer is the later😂)

Wicked reaction guys!! Lowkey is the UK GOAT. Non of this mumble rap nonsense about smoking weed killing guys with their shank etc. Just straight facts and fire!!
The seamlessness of the alphabet bit is mad, but the fact that it all makes sense is incredible!
Further to my previous comment, I'll put my money where my mouth is. I'll send a super thanks donation and politely ask you to react to two tracks. First TRACK, a group called the 4 OWLS (prod by Premier)the track is THINK TWICE. And the most underrated female hip hop MC TRUEMENDOUS, BLACKBOX cypher S15 E166. I know for a fact as I am of the same vintage as Court that you guys will love both of these. I appreciate you guys so top ya glasses up and enjoy, many thanks
(Court) Fam!! You had me at “DJ Premier”!!!! 😂 Casey We gonna get this out there soon bro!! BOLO!
great reaction guys and I sault you 2 for catching almost all of the lines.
btw, you look like method man :)
This is a thank you and a polite nudge to do a couple of UK real HIP HOP reactions to show its not only Grime rap over here. My suggestions are below. Many thanks again bottoms up boys
Really appreciate the super thanks we will put your requests at the top of the list for our next recording session. One note next week we have prerecorded all of our videos as Casey is traveling for business. We will not have a recording session until the following week. Again big thank you ✌️🍻

Also P MONEY daily duppy, gonna be on you guys until its done ;) monster!
last sentence he sings is "Alshab yorid eskat elnizam" whish what protesters used to say in Syria when they started protesting in 2011, basically translates to : The people wants the regime down, he also repeats it in Spanish
Been waiting for this one guys. He is the truth.
Another one thats gunna fuck you up is......Rhyme Asylum- fire in booth🔥🔥🔥
Same pedigree of penmanship n skills....
It's a must guys💯
I've been literally crying on all their videos to react to ANY song by Rhyme Asylum!!! I don't think they're ready for RA man, their minds will explode 🤯

@@BeersBars I highly advise you do a couple of Rhyme Asylum songs before you go onto their Fire in the Booth. You can start with "Next Level", "Ground Zero", "Poison Penmanship". Its important to do the songs before so that you understand their style and dynamic of the group. This way you can truly appreciate their Fire in the Booth.
Guna be here to watch yous loose ya whole shit to that one🤣
@@red888 they're not ready bro 😂😂 trust me
As always, glad that you're finding these gems. The People's Army are immense. The problem is that their stuff is so intense and hard that you feel like you've done 10 rounds with Tyson. It's lyrically brilliant, delivered with cadence, intonation and utter skill. In my opinion, they are as hard as America's finest.
Lowkey mic logic react to the people’s army cyhpher old school ✌🏻

Cadet closure and krept last letter to cadet big tunes
Yes the 3 letters tracks are so moving...the last is so hard not to cry start to finish..

Last year I went to see immortal technique in London and Lowkey came on as a special guest, a moment I'll never forget! Been on Lowkey for a decade at least ❤
“I don’t know if time is linear or cyclical…”
Is that a reference to Akala’s FITB “Time is a cycle; not a line”?
Appreciate this one guys! 🍻
This is why I know that Lowkey melted your heads:
You seriously had to ask us whether he was promoting his own album....twice, while you were catching the lion's share of the fire! 😄
I say it again.. "name another who can go toe 2 toe with Lowkey" ill wait..... Again 😂 respect guys the only reactors i drop everything im doing when i see an upload for. Love from the uk 🇬🇧
I think "if they don't let us dream then we won't let them sleep" is the theme that brings his two freestyles together. He is applying his social commentary and political analysis to the Grenfell fire. People's dreams were broken so they could be burned alive by corporate greed and government neglect. They were not allowed to dream literally. Figuratively, the hapless and hopeless existence of the majority of people leaves no room for dreams about self-worth and fulfillment. People who allowed this to happen in service of their own privilege slept comfortably in their beds that night. Their comfort and opulence should not be allowed to continue. Again figuratively, the blood on their hands should be shown to them. Once they realise their guilt they should suffer sleepless nights. "I couldn't sleep if I did that" is a common saying used when shocked by the evil of another.
“If don’t let us dream then we won’t let them sleep” is a common protest chant
I'm on the y's and this was allready worth the wait.. cheers guys 👍

Great reaction guys. Subscribed. UK rap 🔥
Welcome to the Buzz Fam, we have a bunch of UK artists playlists on the channel to check out ✌️🍻
Ocean Wisdom - Fire in the booth PLEASE
Also, we defo need more lowkey, his sbtv freestyles, kiss fm freestyle & bars to my brother I'd recommend, also he has songs called terrorist and obamanation if love to see your reaction to, both were very controversial due to their subjects, obamanation was banned from being shown in the US apparently
Lowkey received a lot of offers from labels but he refused them all and went back to education.
Nice Saturday treat! Love to see love for Lowkey. So much more than music, he uses his voice and platform for purpose. His break from music was quality, he hit the books and I’m sure got qualified in Middle Eastern studies which shows.
Brilliant person!
I’ll be back to watch later. 🫡 🍻
You should do Terroist by lowkey. He actually got charged with terriosm because of his music
This FITB was within 6 months of Grenfell fire. Section on Grenfell must have been written very close to the performance because News of Grenfell was coming out week by week in the months that followed the fire. He probably only finalised Grenfell bits last minute, hence notes on phone. For example, the line about still collecting their wage was a comment on the immediate situation.
Yo guys I never subscribe to anything tbh but I've just subscribed to your channel. I've been cracking up watching your videos with the UK scene and the energy you guys bring is different.
