CONT. I would love it if F1 took the WEC Hypercar approach to the rules and allowed teams more freedom on design (excluding power units) and use aero BOP to keep competition fair. WEC enforces a budget cap so no different to F1 but unlike F1 you get to see a varied field of Hypercars with big, muscular Toyotas vs. low, sleek Ferraris vs. no rear winged Peugeots all racing closely under tight restrictions on max downforce loads, min drag coefficients, peak DRS efficiency and overall wake production.
Very excited to how this team will perform. Been a fan of them since Kimi came back, the Alfa livery from 2018-2022 were the most beautiful in the field and I bought a lot of Alfa Romeo F1 merch. Sad that the partnership with Alfa ended with not much except Charles' first year and the not bad 2019 season. Hope they succeed but the sponsors in F1 for 2024 scream more "pay to win" than in any other sport and that's a very wrong direction our beloved sport goes. As if that sport isn't filled enough with money since it exists Bottas also now has to show more. In 2023 he often was invisible and in many races you didn't even recognized he was taken part of the race. His performance needs to get better or there's no chance for him to get a cockpit in 2026 in that team
For me, the partnership with Alfa Romeo ending was a good thing. I won't have to cope with that legendary brand being at the back of the grid fighting for non-point paying positions. IMO, Alfa not racing is better than Alfa being uncompetitive.

The colour scheme is ok, but 2 colours isn't enough to make a decent livery (in my opinion), especially when one of those two colours is black. Not to mention the actual design is god awful. It has a green staircase on the side. It's incredibly generic, and leaves a lot to be desired. Beyond that, Stake is an AWFUL company. The only nice thing I can say about it, is at least it's a new colour scheme on the grid. Beyond that, it's a dud.

Alpine has pulled it off the best with I'd say the most colours on their car, out of all the teams so far, and the fact they mixed it in with the black is truly amazing.
I think that Red Bull would be foolish to change much in such an incredibly successful car. But teams that have struggled have nothing to lose with big changes, and they have two years of evidence of what works. I expect the field will be even closer this year, with surprises, and the gap to Red Bull will be closer, if not outright closed.

the lack of major sponsors is painfully obvious, i counted 12 stake logos and almost all of them are in major sponsor positions
