"...could offset some of his weaknesses by pairing him with effective playmaking wingers."
He will fit very nicely with Gaudreau and Laine!
Was my first thought too :)
That’ll make jackets fans laugh with glee
Great breakdown, David!! To me, his ability away from the puck in the offensive zone really stuck out to me watching him at WJC and WC this year. He wants the puck every time he's out there and is constantly working to find quiet areas in the offensive zone where he can receive a pass and take a shot. I think his tenacious off puck anticipation and ability to be consistently available for his teammates took some adjusting for some of his linemates at the WJC. To me, he's going to excel the most when he's paired gifted playmakers who are going to be looking to distribute him the puck over and over again. He's an absolute tool shed, and his raw tools are as complete as I've seen for a draft eligible prospect. Electrifying draft, can't wait for it.
Should fit well with Laine and Gaudreau
@@doyouevenliftt-br5db Kent Johnson too!
BLUE JACKET BABY
He fits exactly what the Ducks need. He is that Matthew Tkachuk type of player who can bring his team into the fight physically and also offensively. I could easily see a world where Zegras slides to the wing (as has already done before occasionally) on a line with Fantilli and Terry. That would be a pretty solid first line. Like you said in the vid, the things he will need to work on are his hockey sense and I also think he can work on his shot accuracy to some degree. Both those things are very coachable and not concerns to me. Great report!
Ive been seeing a lot of different comparisons but even off the ice he reminds me of Pavelski/Bergeron
Mike Modano 2.0
🤡
I'm sorry for your loss
@@shanew5957 I'm happy with Carlsson. He's a fantastic player. I think Fantilli would have fit what we needed more but it sounded like he really wanted to play in Columbus. What I'm really upset about is the Ducks not going back to their OG uniforms for the 30th anniversary!
Great video sir! And plz Fantilli drop in the draft lol. I know, never gonna happen, but I still have 2 days to dream.
it happened
My favourite player from this draft
Why
@@J87169 He is both physical as well as skilled and tall player. His numbers are exceptional and he responsible in defensive as well.
He is a complete player and every team would benefit from having him on their roaster.
In my opinion he'll be more efective player than Bedard because of the defensive play - although we'll have to see
His passing can be great and scary at times, little bit of yolo passing but also great passes to open spaces. NHL coaching should temper the yolo stuff. Shoot 1st center exactly what the Ducks need. Zegras is an all around great play maker perfectly happy to pass, Terry is almost to unselfish w his shooting, McTavish same as Z w all around playmaking. All the young studs coming up for Ducks D this season and Fantilli stepping into the young uber talented offense, Ducks gonna turn the corner faster then people expect. GO DUCKS
Oh my will it be nice to see him feeding Laine or Gaudreau. I'm goign to see them when they visit my city.
Fantilli will have a better rookie year
Go get him Columbus
Lol
@@doyouevenliftt-br5db sure will be an exciting season for cbj.
Bro really had the script
Verbeek better not overthink this. Franchise centre right here and future superstar. Has the transitional and puck handling elements like Zegras but can also protect the puck and play in the hard areas like McTavish. Absolute stud
He overthought it 😑hoping Leo can be a beast but man
yep he overthought it
You spelled his name wrong in the title (JUST FYI for your views)
Thank you!! Didn't notice it.
welcome to columbus
He is Mike Modano 2.0
clearly
Noel dans trois jour....
Hope he slide to 5th position xD
I hope the Blackhawks got the memo. Ducks will reluctantly take second rate Bedzy off your hands.
Stamkos ?
Nah
Eichel. A complete 2 way center, Smart with a heavy shot and elite mechanical skill.
I think Fantilli is comparable to Jack Hughes (except bigger)
There’s similarities but Hughes is more of a natural distributor than Fantilli
Wait tf I’m older than him and Connor I’m only 19 this feels odd as fuck
I have him over Leo Carlson
i think everyone does
@@dvrsebeats1656apparently not 😂 jackets got such a steal
@@markbisson6166aging like milk 🤣
@@matthewkabel6246 yup 😭 but hey we’re only 25 games in
@@markbisson6166 oh yeah not writing off Fantilli or anything, he’s been real solid this year. I’ve been high on Leo but him performing the way he has this quickly has even shocked me a bit
Cbj cbj cbj cbj
better then bedard let's be honest lol
David…
Don’t you have ANY concern at all
about his hockey IQ ???
Sometimes I’m not sure he fully understands what is going on
on the ice,
and doesn’t have the best vision & playmaking ability.
Well, compared to the elite prospects in this draft, yes, Fantilli isn't as clever on the ice, but the concerns are overblown, I think, especially because he's used to playing a creative brand of hockey. I'm sure he will make some impressive reads in the NHL.
Hot take: he fall at 4 in the draft
Casual
More likely he goes first than drop to fourth spot
There’s no way that’s happening
