1983 Seven National News with Steve Whitham: Ken Sparkes v 5AD

On 29th December 1982 the Adelaide media industry was shocked when local breakfast stalwarts Bazz & Pilko suddenly announced they were moving from 1323 5AD to rival station 1197 5KA.
At the time Tony Pilkington and Barry Ion hosted Adelaide's number one breakfast show on the city's number one station.
Former 5AD announcer Ken Sparkes, then working in Sydney but holidaying in Adelaide at the time of Bazz & Pilko's announcement, was offered the 5AD breakfast role by station manager Bob Francis.
It didn't end well. In 1983 Sparkes sued the station.

ADS 7 changed network affiliation at midnight on 26th December 1987 and is now ADS 10.
