@@davidgibbs7232 to say that michael jackson didn’t start anything is the biggest joke of all… if your source for these opinions is american music historians than i don’t blame you for being this ignorant. michael jackson pioneered music videos and dancing and took it break dancing and made it into a global phenomenon, elvis on the other hand was just a person lucky enough to be “accepted” by the white public, but he didn’t invent or even add to the style he was singing, he had black artists teaching him how to sing and how to sound behind the scenes. elvis is only groundbreaking for white people, michael was the one and only international phenomenon who broke barriers all around the world.

Elvis is the king of music with full of emotion that most musicians lack of through out history, and mostly, he was and still is the King of Heart!!! Music is a language of our soul, and he truly touched our hearts through his music and golden velvety voice! Elvis' birth had a very special mission; uplifting humanity, and he did just that! One night shortly after he had passed away, I was thinking over everything I knew about Elvis. What had made him so famous? Well on the list is his fabulous voice. Then you have his marvelous talent. Somewhere on that list is his oh so sexy appearance. Before I even knew what sexy was or meant I knew he had it and I wanted it. All my life all I ever wanted was to meet him. I'd make up stories of how my aunt made an appointment with Col. Tom so I could meet Elvis. Stories are nice but all they are are lies. I was made fun of in school because I liked him. They'd tease me about my wanting to marry him. There is nothing in this world meanier than a teenager about another teenager. My first year in high school our French teacher wanted to know what all we did over the summer. I thought that would be the easiest thing in the world to write. I wrote how I was given an Elvis fan club and how hard it was running one. The teacher read my paper to the class. Then came the killer. She told the class that it was my paper. She embarrassed me so bad all I could think of was how I could make myself sick so I could go home. All it did was make me angry at the teacher. By the next day I was in just the write mood to go and talk to the Principal. I learned a lot that day. But I can tell you one thing that teacher will remember my name. So every time someone tried to embarrass me about being a fan of Elvis Presley. I'd just tell them how much fun it was to join my fan club we did this and that . I just turned it all around to a positive thing. The one and only time I saw Him THAT will be what I remember.
    We miss you Elvis.

I don't think he let anything go to his head. He already knew before the movies he couldn't ever go anywhere without a slew of bodyguards. His personal life was over with. After his comeback those who didn't know , they understood now. He was the most handsome man on the the planet then and forever. To famous can kill you. It did.

When Elvis walked in room all eyes went to Elvis you hear such negative thing's about him no one talks about his humanitarian thing's he did he changed style culture & has John Lennon said before Elvis there was nothing talking about rock & roll or rock as today he broke door's down for Black artist who wouldve never got heard so the guy had the Looks his voice was still great up til he passed it is a shame he never won a Grammy for his rock & roll music but did on his gospel album's Elvis crossed the music line's he touches old & young alike & had colonel Parker giving Elvis a chance at serious acting I believe he would've been up there with the Brando's James Dean Paul Newman & also if Parker had let Elvis tour over sea's he might have still been here ? Without a doubt the greatest singer & entertainer to ever live & one of the best looking man to ever grace the stage screen television or magazine's paper's & one of the most photographed man on the planet bar none ❤❤❤🎬🎸🙏🏿🎺

Walter Matthau was right. People said Elvis couldn’t act, but if you watch his early films, he had everything - acting ability, style, charisma and screen presence. King Creole was an excellent film. He did some other films before going off into romantic musical silliness that didn’t make a lot of money but showed that he could do the job. I thought his best boy meets girl movie was Change of Habit. But early in his career, he showed a lot of dramatic potential. Flaming Star, Wild In The Country, Loving You, Love Me Tender and Jailhouse Rock all demonstrated his acting ability. His fight scenes with very little experience as an actor were great. I could have easily seen him as Felix Leiter opposite Sean Connery’s James Bond. They could have been dynamite together. Elvis could play an intense role like Connery did in the early 007 films.
