    Terrific. Absolutely terrific. At first I thought it began too quickly, but my mind is moving quickly hence the insomnia. The speaking begins slowing down, which winds me down. Seems obvious now! The best so far, by far. I have tried so very many. Thanks for this gem! I have slept for 4 nights in a row now. Its been years.

    This stuff is a God send. And there is a cognitive behavioral therapy reason behind WHY this works to cope with fear, and anxiety when it comes to falling asleep with insomnia.
    It helps you refocus your thoughts on something OTHER than your fear or worry which gives your mind a chance you relax
    I intend to do this form of Yoga a lot both when awake or trying to sleep. Good Jon man.

    Wow! So very masterfully executed by whomsoever this guy speaking is. In my limited experience with these Yoga Nidra sessions, I have found that the trick is to find the right balance between moving us purposefully toward sleep while allowing us to let go of any tension, and that is something this one does so very perfectly.... Kudos!

      Thank you Scott! I really value your feedback. You are completely
      correct, my core objective is to help people relax and release tension,
      then whether you need to fall asleep, overcome anxiety or manage stress
      - all will receive what they need! Thanks so much for listening! Mother's blessings...

    I wanted to let you know, Tripura, that I listen to this meditation every night for months and months and it's helped me sleep better and more deeply than any medication could. You could say that this 'meditation' is 'medication' in itself!
    Anyway, thanks so much!

    Absolutely amazing. I always needed a 1 hour of meditation but because of reviews I listened last night. I’m going through my 90 year old mother passing (I lived with her for 10 years). Now my siblings are being cruel over her home which was her dream that I could buy them out. They promised her that they would sell it at tax value but changed their minds after she passed. Now they want top price knowing I can’t afford it. And they told me I had to be out in a week. I’m not worried about that because I know they can’t do that. This video is a miracle. Thank you so much.

      Thanks for your feedback. You are very blessed to have such a natural and deep potential for meditation and yoga nidra! Yoga nidra can actually give us better rest in less time than habitual sleep. Since we are not tossing and turning and can deliberately relax deeper and deeper we can also enjoy greater states of rest and relaxation. Thanks for listening!

      Thank you for this so very powerful yoga Nidra. My whole body was so incredibly deeply relaxed as never before. at the same time there was an "alertness" Now at this occasion my system was very much in high stress and I couldn't sleep for maybe two hours. The body in these states is very relaxed but some energy runs "in the background somehow" Can you recommend a practise to do when the system is so wired up I'd be mostly grateful.

    This is amazing! works every time. Don't know if you read these comments but can you please, please do a shorter version? I fall asleep at around the 20 minute mark where it's just been the background music for awhile. But then your voice comes back in and it wakes me up!! startles me every time. Where you say "If you find it necessary to continue you may do alternate .. " (think around 22min mark). So it'd be great to also have a shorter version of this vid, bout 20mins. :))))

    Couple of months ago I started experiencing some sharp emotional pain during my Nidra practice. It is unbearable when it unfolds. It does not happen with every practice, but most of the sleeping or insomnia ones result in a painful state. The pain usually starts manifesting on a second round of the body scan and is located at the chest, I may feel it expanding towards the throat and the left arm and hand. I am trying different types of Nidra practices to find the ones that would take me into a full relaxation and not let developing habitual pain during the practice. I do continue practicing.

    • @TantraForLife
      @TantraForLife  8 років тому +2

      This is an emotional/psychological pain that is stored in the physical body. I encourage you to go through the Bodhi Nidra sessions, also this next video i am releasing this Sunday night will be very helpful. Continue with your practice, if it ever become too intense you can always stop at any point. Go at a gentle and easy pace. Seek to embrace this pain, be with it, do not fight it or try to change it, just be with your body and its feelings. If you can really embrace it without any resistance, you can illuminate it and bring healing. Thank you for your feedback! Om shanti shanti shanti.

    • @olhlha
      @olhlha 8 років тому

      Thank you. I am noticing fear avoidance responce. Trying your various practices to be able to go through without pain. It's the insomnia ones that typically brings me into a painful state, although started with a regular Nidra. I will follow your recommendations. Thank you, once again.

      squeaky79 Thanks so much for listening, i'm so glad to hear this has helped. However, the script for this has never changed since it's release. Perhaps its like how sometimes when we are in a different mood we can hear things we didn't hear before, or just hear things differently. Any way, glad to hear this offered you some variety even after listening for so long! :-) Thanks again.

    Didn't think this would work as I had to keep going back to re-start the breathing count. Finally did the countdown, then listened to background music (which I love) ... next thing I'm awaking from a dream. And what a complex dream it was. In the dream I walked passed a former neighbour whose name I'd been trying to remember : in my dream state no trouble knowing her name which I was able to remember after waking. The dream also held a significant 'type' (short squat in white clothes) which I think of as "The Singer" although it was not related to song in the dream. H'ever I do attend a singing group so there could be a link there. I have no insight into dream interpretation and do not follow it, but will mention in my Journal. Bye from Brindabella..

    Probably gonna use this to reattempt conscious sleep. The one time I think I actually reached it no one believed me when I said I heard the conversation around me because I was snoring even when I told them all the things they'd said. Kinda interesting after reading up on Yoga Nidra that it's described as a "single, semi-enlightened state of consciousness and a perfectly integrated and relaxed personality." (well, on wikipedia)
    The problem being for me was that even though I was in that state, I did not experience a single state of consciousness, instead I had an interaction with the manifestation of the part of myself I hate (profile pic) reminding me that I couldn't get away from him as he was merely a part of me, at which point he shoved his hands into my chest as I must have been beginning to feel the weight of sleep paralysis on my chest. After that I just remember I was able to wiggle my finger and touch the foot of the person standing next to me and they thankfully nudged my foot which kicked me down to normal black vision consciousness + sleep paralyzed still so I mumbled out a "can't get up, help plz." Didn't tell any of them about what I saw, just the aspect of hearing all of them while meditating.

    Disappointed this is not a nice long 36 min yoga for insomnia practice it is quite a short practice with lots of music tacked on. Insomniacs take at least 45 mins to get to sleep, that's the definition of insomnia , so with a good 36 min yoga nidra practice one has a chance but this is way too short for the for insomnia claim. ok for your average punter that has a little difficulty sleeping.

    • @NoahDancaster
      @NoahDancaster 8 років тому +1

      This is usually the case for most people though. Everyone claims to have insomnia if they feel like they can't fall asleep on time, which is likely just due to poor patterns, bad nutrition or fluorescent lighting for a vast majority.
      Don't waste energy on people's misrepresentations of these things :)

    • @TantraForLife
      @TantraForLife  8 років тому +1

      I understand both of your points, and they are valid. However, i do feel a bit that you might be 'tossing the baby out with the bath water'. I understand and appreciate your definition of insomnia, but there are many who would usually take 45 minutes or longer to fall asleep who are able to fall asleep far before that with this recording, thus helping to correct their insomnia, which is the purpose of this session. It has helped many with severe sleeping disorders, just scroll down and read some of the comments.
