I finally cleared p4s. Watching tutorial videos literally 30+ times works. That was my first time ever getting to l4s phase 2, and 5 pulls on phase 2 only one mistake was on me, But my ast parsing is abysmal.. I guess l will wait for echo to be added to p8s too while memorizing mechanic by watching your video
Still trying to wrap my head around that method of snake priority and I can't quite seem to grasp it. I'm used to how Hector explained it, but I've been trying to wrap my head around the JP notation method. I feel like it would be good to know for future tiers where this kind of priority is needed again. From 12o'clock CW: MTD1→STD2→H1D3→H2D4: 11 o'clock CCW How do you decide which snake you're killing based on that? The way Hector explained it has MT with H1 as partners, ST with H2 as partners (we do it this way based on light party groups). MT+H1 go CCW from NW spot while ST+H2 go CW from N spot. The first snake they see is their snake to kill. If partners have the same debuff, MT and ST just swap. DPS do the same thing, partnering melee DPS with a ranged DPS and having melee DPS swap. (We typically notate dps as M1, M2, R1, R2 to separate melee and ranged DPS in strats) In what ways is this different from how Hector explained it? Judging by your video, you have MT+ST as partners and H1+H2 as partners instead? And ST will swap with H1 instead? By the image used in your video and toolbox, Hector method would have your GNB and SCH targeting the W snake, then your DRK and WHM targeting the E snake. So it *does* work out differently and I wanna be sure I understand the concept.
Hey; I will try to clear that up. The general idea is actually a chain of 4 people (this is what the JP notation is describing): MT>OT>H1>H2 M1>M2>R1>R2 For now let's say we only go CW. When debuff appears, check who has the same debuff in your chain. If you're before him in the chain, you take the 1st snake CW, and he'll get the 2nd, CW as well. And that's it. No swap ever, only one direction. Then you'll realise 4 people will always be on the same end, here that would be MT/M1 always being first in their chain & H2/R2 always being last. Those 2 being last can very well think of their mech as always going to the 1st snake CCW if that helps. Only players "adjusting" depending on their pair is OT, H1, M2 & R1. OT will always take the first snake paired with a Healer, but the second one if with MT, etc. In short, if you've got the same debuff as someone with a different job, your snake will always be the same (Tank before Healer, Melee before Range). Only time you have to think is when you're paired with the same job: H1 will have to instead go on the first snake if both healers are doing the same thing.
This snake1 thing is really faqing confusing the hell of me. I have no clue which ppl use in pf anymore. The prio strat is faqing confusing, as melee(m1 or m2) what the fuck I have to do, which is my partner/group? It should be clarified in guides, cant just say "check your partner/group" I mean as m1 who the heck is my partner? M2? R1? As M2 who the heck is my partner? M1? R2?? But mostly, when me and partner have same debuff what the heck need to do?? Guide is ok, but snake part should have been clarified more easy to understand...
Hey there. Prio order is M1>M2>R1>R2. [SNAKE 1] M1 never adjusts and always go towards the snake NE and then clockwise. Then M2 does the same, then R1, and R2 (so R2 is always the last snake CW from NE). [SNAKE 2] I believe there are 2 strats out there, static & color. Static is fixed pos and then adjust. Color is duo and then adjust. For the adjust, it's the same as Snake 1: M1/R2 never adjusts, M1 always go on the upmost N CW snake. R2 the other one. M2/R1 adjust depending on who has the same debuff or non-debuff: if M1 and M2 both have a share, petri, or nothing, M2 is last snake. If M2 is paired with R1, he has prio north. Basically just remember M1 M2 R1 R2.
Merci pour ce guide ! Encore une fois du bon boulot !

Congratulations! That's huge!

i still say snake prio is the most cringe strat ever and hector takes half the effort but thanks for the guide nonetheless
Hope it still was useful in some ways!
