Thank you for watching my video and for your appreciation. I wanted to show how a rhythm can be built with several instruments in a simple structure and how to get out of the fixed rhythm with a little, very first improvisation. It is the first time I played the Darabuka - (for those who look critically at my playing technique) - My teacher simply advised me to transfer my playing style to another instrument and see what happens. I am still far from where I want to be. So I am very pleased you like my version, it gives me courage to continue practicing ... everyone at some point in the past started with the first steps and I love making videos.
Excellent!! So well done on so many levels. Looking forward to more of these. Thank You! ***Shared to Hand Drum Rhythm Players & Dancers..... a Facebook group.
Dearest Elissa, thanks so much for your praise. It means a lot to me and gives me the courage to continue with the exercises. And also the courage to show my development steps.
Thanks so much for taking time to watch and write me this comment. I plan to add more of the well-known oriental rhythms to play along or dance along with. Thanks for the inspiration.
Ahh, the "Dreaming Drum Woman" - thank you so much for taking time to watch it. How good that there are no coincidences. Just a few days ago I discovered your beautiful video series in the Women Frame Drumming Group and now I find your loving comment here. I love your videos too....
