The video is of great quality for 8 years old! The brainstem is complex, from which the 11 cranial nerves apparently originate. Do not forget that the substantia nigra is found in the mesencephalon and that the colliculi are anterior and the peduncles posterior. The nerves that are apparently born in areas such as the mesencephalon, these really are born in nuclei of that area (III and IV). Personally, the most complicated thing about the brainstem is the pathways. Good video.
Just fantastic .... the presentation, teaching method and also the drawings. All make understanding Neuroanatomy so easy. Greetings from Hungary (University Of Debrecen) :D
Thank you for posting these video. I really wish that Dr. Claudia Krebs was my professor. She presents the material in a clear and concise matter. I am retaining the information and have recommended the series to my other classmates. Grateful to everyone who made these videos possible. I appreciate you sharing this knowledge.
Madam , you, impart understanding of the subject very well. You articulate it superbly. Thank God you don't mumble it to yourself! May GOD BLESS you Ma'am.
This video explain fantastic the overview of the brainstem, she talks the location of the twelve cranial nerves with their functions, all de information she said is very important to learn.
The brainstem is important as it connects the brain with the spinal cord, which is capable of controlling breathing, blood pressure and balance. It is a good video that clearly explains all its structures.
A very informative video in which the anatomy of the spinal cord is explained to us with various methods, either by images or by real samples, with this type of tool the study of these topics is greatly facilitated since there is an audiovisual interaction that greatly benefits to the student
Thanks to Dr. Krebs and UBC Medicine for this videos. Both of them present the material with ease and clarity, which makes it incredibly helpful and insightful. "Understanding cranial nerve function is an important diagnostic tool", a senteces that perfectly summarizes the importance of knowing and understand the midbrain/brainstem to apply the knowledge in the practice with the specific symptomology they present. All I can say is that this is an amazing content that helped me learn a lot more in this process of being a Med student. This was the best way to explain the brainstem, making it look so simple that I questioned why did it took me so long to understand it.
"Understanding cranial nerve function is an important diagnostic tool." Perfect summary and understatement extraordinaire ☺ My son suffered severe nerve damage from a Pituitary MacroAdenoma and the resultant, nearly fatal development of 3rd/4th Ventricle Hydrocephalus. Understanding symptomology specific to midbrain/brainstem injury and their manifestation through cranial nerve dysfunction has been critical in helping his clinicians stay informed of emerging instabilities immediately (and avoid hospitalizations). This video is a Godsend. Thank you for producing/posting this.
This was the best way to explain the trigeminal nerve nuclei that I've ever seen! It made everything seem so simple that I don't even know how it took me so long to understand it! Thank you!
The following audiovisual is presented in a didactic way with the necessary elements for a better understanding, the explanation of the decussations and distribution of the cranial nerves in the human body, a very understandable content.
Thanks to this type of content, the study of the human brain becomes a little easier to study since it is very important to study it in this video, its study is done in a didactic way with the necessary elements for a better understanding, the explanation of the decussations and distribution of cranial nerves in the human body.
It is a very instructive and easy to understand video. Their explanations and the organs presented their good pedagogical material for the study of the brainstem. I really liked the way they moved the camera to show the elements of the brainstem.
The study brain human is very important but the incredible thing is how this handle emotions and see how it’s structured inside. This episode Helped me a lot.
I have come here in comments section just to see how much appreciation is getting ! Excellent job. So much motivated to create something just like special.
I thought it was an excellent and very educational video in which they explain in detail about the brainstem, they did it in a quick and easy way to understand for anyone
excellent very informative video that complements the entire anatomy of the brain with its different structures and functions of the brain with their respective images that help us to better understand.
Ha just fantastic, I pay 9k a year to study neuroscience yet this UA-cam series has taught me almost everything I know for free lol cheers uk education system.
This video that tells us about the brainstem made it clear to me many parts of what constitutes it. It is a very good video for the practical part of the subject, since it helps us to guide us to identify the parts. Above all, I love that they not only explain the parts of the practical matter to us but also do it in a theoretical way, addressing more information than what is explained.
It is very impressive how they can explain in a clear and precise way such an important topic, covering the most relevant aspects so that we as students can understand it. Thank you very much for this information.
This video is very interactive, the explanation of each part that makes up the brainstem is so explicit and easy to understand. This video serves to reinforce what was seen in class, especially the part that helped me the most was when I explained how the nerves of each nucleus emerge, I liked the video.
This video has a very interesting and practical explanation, which show us how the brainstem and the spinal cord are connected, also though where the 11 cranial nerves are apparently originate.
Just a bliss that you people are producing these high quality gold material for ...us and uploading it on a free website.... thakyou...thankyou very much
the video shows us how the brainstem connects the spinal cord with the higher thought centers of the brain. It consists of three structures: the medulla oblongata, the pons, and the midbrain. The medulla oblongata is continuous with the spinal cord and connects superiorly with the pons. it's an excellent video.
Excellent video, I perfectly understood the brainstem, especially that it transmits signals between the brain and the spinal cord and handles basic involuntary functions. The brainstem connects the spinal cord to the higher thought centers of the brain. Consists of three structures: the medulla oblongata, the pons, and the midbrain
I liked the way they explained the structures found in the brainstem, the drawings, and the teaching method seemed interesting. I like that things are explained in a simple way.✨
Excellent explanation of the conformation of the brain stem, since it teaches us that it is divided into three regions: medulla oblongata, pons and mesencephalon, in such a way that the medulla oblongata continues with the spinal cord and connects upwards with the boss.
The video explains the subject in an understandable way for everyone, the resources used for the explanation are very good, the level of professionalism with which it was carried out deserves a rating of 10, my congratulations to the participants and people who contributed to the project.
Great video, i understood how the ventricles have very specifics areas, including the cerebros aqueduct; the diagram shows the inner structures and their relationships between each other, also she teach us how the nerves are associated with the brainstem.
This video is very didactic, besides clarifying the information, it also explains perfectly the parts of the brain, and with that I can understand the functions of the brain and all the parts that form the anatomy of the brain, it is really great to have a different way also to study.
The brainstem is a very important and complex structure of our nervous system. But this video helped me a lot for a quick and easy understanding and it is very didactic since it works with organs which helps a better learning.
I find this video very nice as it explains in a clear way. I like the level of professionalism with which you express yourself because I can understand what I have been studying about this subject. Excellent video 🤩

Good video and with good explanation where we can observe anatomically the mesencephalon, pons and bulb which is what makes up the brainstem, plus a diagram to conceptualize the internal structures and their relationships.
Knowing about the function of the cranial nerves since it is a very important diagnostic tool, it was a very complete video in my opinion, very explanatory since it helped me understand things that I did not understand and were not clear to me, but with this video I I am very clear. Thank you
Excellent video since the video is explained in a didactic way and not difficult to understand and I like that it shows and points out the parts of the brainstem as well as the location of the cranial nerves.
Very good explanation, each part is very clearly understood. The way Dr explains is very easy to understand. Thanks to this video I was able to clear some doubts I had.
Thank you so much Dr. Krebs and UBC Medicine for this series of videos. As a university student, they are both incredibly helpful and insightful. You present the material with such ease and clarity. These videos provide not only fantastic learning resource, but are a joy to watch! Thanks again
