This young lady needs to binge watch your videos. I worked with horses for 30 years , I have learned so much from you just watching your videos. I "KNOW" what you do with horses works. You are also a fantastic teacher to the owners too. Fantastic job Steve!
Me too, I worked with horses when I was younger as a groom & riding instructor. I was aiming for my BSAI (that will give away my age 🤣) yet the people I worked for led me to believe they knew best. They clearly didn’t and some had worked for some of the best. I mean when I think back to how the people I worked for boxed a horse 😳 I guess you don’t know what you don’t know. They were kind to their horses but we could have been taught better. I agree what Steve does works.
That horse was desperate for relaxation, and so is his lovely owner! Good for her for asking for somebody to look from the outside - we can't see it from the inside. So great to watch.
At the beginning the horse was looking around, fussing, and by the end he was relaxed, paying attention and I think actually grateful for the leadership and the peace of mind. Love seeing you have a good time.
Always a pleasure to be able to “tag along”!!! Love the scenery and all the fun! I’ve trained horses for many years ( in my 65 years) and never fail to pick up another nugget of training tips….love the KINDNESS Steve shows to everyone. His understanding of humans and horses is incredible. Humble and you can tell he truly enjoys life! Tanya !!! What can I say! You are the wife and you two make a wonderful compassionate team! Maybe folks can learn from you both to be kind to one another as well! You folks are the best!!!❤
What I have learnt though watching you Steve is you don't need control aids harsh ways just good honest ground work, nothing personal, respect of space a smile on your face and the importance of understanding your horse being that leader totally respect you Steve true horsemanship thank you so pleased you and Dan enjoyed your trip!!
Every time I see him do this, I am absolutely amazed at the skill he displays in training a difficult horse. I hope she takes his lessons to heart. She'll be a much better trainer. Great job Steve. Edit: I'm sitting here cheering the video she sent you. Great confirmation of your teaching. BTW, love the kitty.
What a lovely video. 😊. That young lady has a wonderful future ahead of her- to learn these thing so young in her career! ❤ Dan is a goo cameraman. I am so glad you guys had fun on your noise machines, and Tanya enjoyed her peace and solitude. Thank you so much. I want to visit the Isle of Mann now.
The hard thing about teaching someone young is we think we already know everything. It'll pay for this very young girl to watch your video several times and absorb the knowledge you impart. She'll benefit greatly from it and will end up becoming a great trainer herself. Absolutely loved watching you and Dan on your bikes 😂. I grew up on a farm in Australia with brothers who loved and rode bikes. My youngest one still does and is heading of on a 5 day endurance ride in Far North Queensland in mid September. Thanks for another great video Steve! ❤🐴
Tell Dan to look into a magnesium citrate supplement for the odd leg cramp and sore muscles. Also, start any lengthy trip with some electrolytes. I take electrolytes before going on a plane or any long car rides, or even bike rides. It really makes the trip more enjoyable.
Thank you, its so sweet to see Steve, family and friends get along so well and have so much fun. Steve you are a sweet family man and your love for horses is so inspiring. Glad you had a blast!
There's so much in this video, you were right Steve, that I will only comment on 2 times. 😂 @40:47 Steve misses Tanya ❤, and at about 1hr w the pony. The little sister crouched down to have a good look at what Steve was doing 🩷👍 when he was raising the pony's back.😊
Loke other viewers here i didnt know about the pressure halter. Thing is the fundamental message you give viewers is "pain is not a motivator" and with that "make it the horse's idea". Cooperation not force. This video is superb for teaching these ideas. Excellent job. And I i liked the bike outing and sightseeing bits as well. Great thanks.
Very nice to see Steve show the horse what is expected of him and the horse understand and come to enjoy getting into the trailer. And best of all the young trainer learn to carry it on.
This was a truly great video! I learn something new each time. Most important is be a parent (not dictator,) gaining attention, control the feet=control the horse, getting space (with the feet,) no unasked for forward motion, making our idea their idea, making things easy (or hard) depending, doing everything calmly with quality, lowering the head/relaxation, no hand feeding, rubbing not patting, the ears go first than the eyes than the feet, & so much more!. And YES! The slow motion clips are VERY helpful to see things otherwise missed.
Just in case you do not know…you are able to slow down or speed up any UA-cam videos by clicking on the little settings icon at the top right of the video and you will see a menu with “playback speed”….it is very useful I’ve been watching UA-cam 15 years and I only found out a few years ago !
Toni, you did great. It's human nature to be a little defensive if someone comes in and tells you that you can improve your technique. But you did great. And like Steve said, all this new information will make you such a better trainer! Well, these tips plus working with about 1000 more problem horses. Hahaha I'm so happy that it seemed to work out for you in the end. Soon you will be the go to person to help with loading issues at events. No better way to get clients! I wish you the very best in your future.
I think the issue with the horse was that pressure halter. There a very obvious change in his demeanor once that was gone. I'd not seen one used before, so this was a very interesting observation to take into account. I hope people took note of that. What a cool trip and lovely horse he's beautiful. So glad you had fun as well as able to help these lovely ladies with their horses. They do seem to want whats best for their 4 legged friends. ♥much love everyone♥
I'm in the US, so I've never seen much about of the Isle of Man. It's beautiful! It is very entertaining to see the fun you guys had. I can see why you keep going back! Dan, you did a great job as cameraman & got all the good close-ups. But I have to admit I missed Tanya's quiet encouraging, "Good boy, good boy" whenever Jack the horse picked up on what Steve asked. Toni and her family will benefit so much from this added knowledge and insight. I was amazed and a bit distracted by the incredible old farm buildings. Awww, Tanya, I love how the cat cuddles with you! Did you say Las Vegas? That's so close... I wish!
I was SO hoping for some Manx footage! Love this video--the whole enchilada!!! thank you & keep them coming. It is not only your horsemanship, but you as a person, your family, everything. Fun to get to see more of Dan this time, too.
Thanks for sharing your trip. I had fun along with you. I admire your patience with owners and their horses as you educate them step by step leading to success!❤😊
What a great video! Who on earth would want to skip the beginning! Hilarious 😂my sides were hurting watching Dan trying to over come the pain from his cramp to talk to you. Lol Thank you for sharing your amazing trip and helping a beautiful young horse trainer, excellent job as usual.
That was unreal from start to finish guys! I loved it!! What a lovely time for you and Dan to spend away. I agree Tanya, you would have had a nice relaxing time 😉 by the way Tanya, I love your hair, you look lovely 💐
So good to have a long video again. It makes me feel part of the family when I was starting to feel a bit out of touch. Usual flawless horsemanship, Steve. I loved the bike ride at the end.
I love watching when you guys go on your trips - love that you help the girl with her horse and pony - just wonderful - Tanya is just wonderful on camera - she should do more lol😊
Hey Steve and Dan so glad you guys had fun on the isle of Man. Great loading lesson with Toni and how invaluable will this knowledge be for Toni's career as a horse Trainer. I love what you do Steve and how you make the Horse world a better place for both horses and owners! P.S Looking very relaxed there Tanya after 5 days of 'Bliss' 😄 🐱🤠🏍🏍👨
Love the sharing of your trip, the house you stayed with the dogs, the motor bikes, the castle and parade! Best of all horsemanship training! This makes an enjoyable video! Keep sharing all the different happenings in your world!
Steve, you are such an amazing natural leader. You and your family are quite simply, lovely, and amazing. Much love to you all from across the pond! XOXOXO ♥️♥️♥️🐎
Lovely trip! So glad you was able to give and so good advice and show horsemanship to the young lady. If she sticks with it, she will have a great tool for life ❤️
Hi.You saying he gets confused. I noticed that look on his face when you were asking him to lower his head. What flashed in my mind was"Oh,he wants to please you but isn't sure what you want." He seems gentle in my watching( in stable, face expressions).I sincerely hope things go well for him. He's a sweety ..Bike runs fun!All take care. Thank you for your help to many.We all benefit. 😊
So loved the journey you shared with us... absolutely stunning scenery... and the last shenanigans were hilarious... Great to see you both unwind... Blessings to all ❤
Well, that was different!! Looks like you had a great time away and how blessed you were to be gifted a house for the duration. Just as well you are house trained!! Lol. Those dogs were so chilled with strangers being there too. What a cracking horse you went to help, or was it the owner? He sooner picked up the right messages. Perhaps the young girl could be your apprentice? She would have to listen more rather than talk over you.
Awesome example, AGAIN, of true horsemanship. Steve, you show kindness is vital to working with horses and building their trust. I wanted to cheer when that pressure halter was taken off. Hopefully it stays on the ground where the young lady threw it. Thank you for an excellent video.❤
This has to be the best SYH video yet. Great horsework, as usual, with a talented teacher, hilarity on the biker trails (Percy, don't cuss or fall over), and a cool parade at the end. What more could ya ask for? Thanks so much for this!
Great video! I could watch you trailer a horse all day Steve...MAGIC! Glad you and Dan were able to get away for your boys week. I hear you Tanya...my bloke went away for 3 glorious nights with the boys...its a win, win! Didnt cook a thing for 4 days!🥰🇨🇦 Sharon.
Loved the video ❤ My mum has been line dancing for years and loves it. Aged 79 and fitter than most people in their 50s 😊😊 🕺🕺 Tanya Mollie is beautiful. Steve, another amazing job. The horses love ya ❤❤ xx
Had a cheeky wee laugh at Dan and his cramps standing on his pegs. My husband is a trials motorcycle rider and they stand for the duration of their ride. He did six days of standing in Scotland 😉 The modern bikes don’t have seats. Maybe Dan could take up trials riding to build up those touring muscles lol Another great video!!
The first pressure halter I was introduced was in 1979 / 1980 by two Arabian horse trainers. the" Dually" was patented by Monte Roberts ( whom I also met in the late 1990's in Reno Nevada) and now I see another adaptation of these pressure halters. But!!! What you have shown us Steve is the whole moving the feet and the flag timing. I know you have learned from others, and you have brought forth a truly consistent effectual path of working with these horses. I have maintained that the most troublesome globally is trailer / Lorey (Lori) issue. No Matter what trainer one "seeks" instruction - trailering is STILL a very big issue. All of your vids I have watched are so much proof of moving the feet and "space" issue and not making it a Personal Human emotional issue. I do appreciate all you show and am grateful to your Daughters' and wife for making your work exposed and transparent / honest and recordable! 💯💯💯💯💥💥💥
Loved this video! I own a Yamaha XV1100 Chopper with long fork ;-) Did I see a Wheelie Steve? your bike needs groundwork! I bought a horse last day and would love to come to England and see you working with horses. I hope next year ! Keep on riding and best whishes from Germany!
The no-patting thing really works. It has made one of my oldtimers so much more engaged, where he used to be kind of standoffish. I cringe now when I see the top riders slapping the crap out of their horses' necks after a jump course or dressage test. I always love seeing the areas you go to - please keep doing it!
You guys have so much fun to go out I just love watching your videos. Thanks for vlogging for us while you were on your trip to Isle of Man. I love seeing bikes.! That was really good with the horse. That young lady has a real future to be one of the best. Well... you know how that is; if you learn from the best, then you get to be the best too.! 😊 Hi from panhandle of Florida USA. It's thank you for thinking about us and praying for us over here. It's scooted past us and we didn't get the backside of the hurricane. There's been a lot of for those who took it head-on. We are very thankful that it wasn't as devastating as it could have been. Can't wait for the next video.! God bless you guys and have a wonderful rest of your week.
Hello horsey biker's! Amazing show, place, bikes, trip, People ❤ Regards from biker in Poland/Ireland 😊 Love the video: horses and bikes are my life also ❤
What a great video!! Ive watched it several times even though I've never had a horse (or motorcycle for that matter). I love seeing you and Dan having fun adventures, sightseeing and laughing together as well as your work helping the horse learn to load more easily!! Cheers to the whole family & thanks for your joyous attitude and great videos!!!🐎💙🐾🌞💜🌈🌻
We’re in Gainesville, FL ans the storm was supposed to go right through the middle of town. Terrifying if you have a horse! Of course, I won’t leave mine, so it’s always a nightmare when a hurricane is coming. I’ve been here 62 years and gone through some real whoppers and it never gets any easier. We were so lucky this time, the storm went around us. Just got rain and some wind. Lots of tree branches to clear up but everyone is safe. A lot of my friends who live in the surrounding areas lost power for days. 18 years ago 4 hurricanes came through here one right after another and we were without electricity for 5 weeks. We were so lucky this time! You hold your breath every year. A lot of people were not as fortunate as we were and I really feel for them. Thanks for the good wishes🥹. As usual, fantastic video! Loved going on the trip with you guys😊
Thanks for this video, in particular. A friend has an OTTB that really needs this instruction. Her horse knocked down one of the stable employees recently. Can't wait to show her. You've helped me so much with my own 4 yr. old OTTB, who was never taught to respect the handler. He's a dream now. You are really changing lives. Hugs from across the pond in Ohio!
Such a great video again, I could watch these all day, longer the better. I enjoy also seeing old castles, jokes, enjoying life - what a great material you guys make. Thanks and cheers from Finns.
I hope they do judge her from her own horses AND especially that she was ready, willing and able to ask for more support when she needed - that is fantastic role modeling x
You are so amazing. I had a bad horse accident in 1995 where the horse spun and went over backwards. I amen off and hit the bumper of my car with the back of my head, and she came on over backwards, and I got the saddle horn in the nose. I was smashed between both... then I slid under the license plate, and the horse ended up on the hood of my car. I am ok now. I just have migraine headaches now, and the cognitive issue have started from it. It crushed my face... i had no nose and both cheeks were crushed. I have ridden again 4 yrs ago. You really have helped me understand what happened with the accident. Thank you so much for what you do ❤
Again loved the video, great job Dan. Really enjoyed the bikes love the bikes too. Great job with the horse glad Toni took on what you were saying about the hand feeding.
What a fantastic video with you and Dan taking off for a motor bike trip together, which also turned out to be an extra ordinary opportunity for the p eople who really, really needed help with the difficult horse who didn't want to obey its owner what so ever. It's incredible how quickly Steve is able to gain respect and love from any horse he comes in contact with. I love to see videos where you also show your fun family life and time off from horses. Tanya, you are incredible - always so very sensitive to the animals around the barns where you are filming Steve with a horse. You see a little cat, a little pony, a little dog or a donkey and you pay attention to them. You are an animal lover to the core and animals pickup on your love. Plus I love how you do your makeup and your nails and your hair - you always look so fashionable. My husband and I really want to go to Las Vegas, but I don't know where exactly we should stay to be close to your activities? Can you tell us where your center of activities will be? This is Eva from Rhode Island, USA.
Hi Steve & Dan. You looked as though you had a fantastic trip. Glad you got to use your skills with horses. We feel so grateful to you for sharing your trip with us all. The scenery was great to see. You both did a good job behind the camera !!! What a beautiful cat you were nursing Tanya. Love from New Zealand always.
As soon as I see someone pat their horse hard I know Steve will be right on it telling them not to do that! Love seeing it every time because I fully agree, they do not know what that is and rubbing them is better than big hard smacking pats! Also loved seeing the bikes!
Tanya and Steve,my sister in law, after netball is doing line dancing. She loves it and is. 55-56 now..She is competent, just as she was with netball.( we from Australia). She also does line dancing at nursing homes,& helps ones there to have joy... Maybe you could take Nita to give love to those ones... Just a thought,as I have seen videos of horses been taken into nursing homes... Brings tears to my eyes.. ❤
Just wanted to say a I love you both. Steve you are so kind w/the horses & such a great trainer. Tanya your so sweet w/ everyone & do a great job filming. Steve I enjoy just watching you train, it reminds me a little bit of how I got Rocket/horse to work for me. I had a bond with him & watching you train makes me remember the good memories I had riding Rocket. He was a quarter horse. I rode him in the hills of California for a couple years. I loved that horse, he belonged to a friend. I'll keep watching if you all keep filming. Happy trails & training! Many blessings Eve
A huge thank you to the owners again for sharing their horse dilemmas.... Had horses all my life and at 50 years old I've learnt so much more quality horsemanship after watching all your videos Even my perfectly behaved 30 year old home bred mare is benefiting from my new methods... She loves the no patting policy Just rubbing... And the head turning .... Really useful for worming and cleaning her old runny eyes ..... Thanks you guys...And I love all the videos...including food and holidays too....what fun...always cheers me up 😂 😘😘😘😘🤩 Oh Yes I stopped hand feeding years ago.. My mare had started scraping the floor with her hoof every time she was tied up asking for treats Even though I only gave them at end of ride and that's when it started but very quickly escalated to scraping as soon as I put her in the stable
🐎💗One of my absolute, favorite videos😊and, I love the travel and culture, inclusions😊 But, I am absolutely transfixed by the horsemanship and behavior💗🙌This is among the best media, I've watched in my life😊😊😊Thank you, so much to the whole, Young family team😊🐎💗

Same here. I’m long time horse owner and I’ve learned a ton from Steve that has really helped me with my latest mischievous gelding.

one on one( stupid phone)
I'm sorry your pony came back in poor condition. You will correct that.He will be happier.😊
I think her prob is her horse is really quite smart and has figured out all the ways it can get away with things. ;-P
That horse was desperate for relaxation, and so is his lovely owner! Good for her for asking for somebody to look from the outside - we can't see it from the inside. So great to watch.

It took a while for them to really listen …..
Agreed. I suspect ground work isn't part of her normal training routine, when it should be everything.
These videos…. The longer, the better!!! Thanks everyone. ❤
I love how everyone is always so incredulous when Steve makes the horse walk peacefully into the trailer. :)

You ALWAYS accomplish so much with problem owners!

Simply 😎 how you turned that 🐎 around, as well as it's owner. No more slapping 🐎!!!
👍💯👍
Love to you all. I find myself smiling every time I watch. Does my heart good. 😊
Thoroughly enjoyed! LOVED ALL THE BIKE CONTENT!!!!!!!!!!! Also loved those 2 Springer Spaniels. They are a great breed of woofers.
Loved it all, even Steve's daring wheelie to get the boys party started.
So good to have a long video again. It makes me feel part of the family when I was starting to feel a bit out of touch. Usual flawless horsemanship, Steve. I loved the bike ride at the end.

steve, i'm so glad you went to help that horse and show the horse the respect you did, that horse really needed respect, finally he got some with you.
Hi.You saying he gets confused.
I noticed that look on his face when you were asking him to lower his head.

Great video guys!! So entertaining lol ❤ I'd watch anything you put on for us!!
Enjoyed seeing a different kind of "horsepower" LoL 🤣 Thanks for sharing your trip to the Isles of Mann.
Loved the video ❤
My mum has been line dancing for years and loves it. Aged 79 and fitter than most people in their 50s 😊😊 🕺🕺
Tanya Mollie is beautiful.
Steve, another amazing job. The horses love ya ❤❤ xx
I like it when you show us on the map where you’re traveling.
One of your best videos, loved the extra footage and as always your sorting out horse problem. Many thanks
Had a cheeky wee laugh at Dan and his cramps standing on his pegs. My husband is a trials motorcycle rider and they stand for the duration of their ride. He did six days of standing in Scotland 😉 The modern bikes don’t have seats. Maybe Dan could take up trials riding to build up those touring muscles lol
Another great video!!
Thanks for another video!
Nice videography on the blog, and as usual, pure magic with the horse. Very glad you both had a good time and are home safe.
How exciting!! Yes, I love the motorcycles, the kids, horses, you two and your inspiration! Thanks!!
What a wonderful trip. You had so much fun!
Hi from panhandle of Florida USA.
Great result with Jack. I hope Toni is more willing to listen to other more experienced trainers now that she has seen your results. 😊👍👍
Bikes and horse's perfect
A bit more horsepower…. lololol.
I love you guys! Thanks Team Steve for this awesome video!!
Loved the bike stuff, Dan deserved the yellow jersey😂
Hello horsey biker's! Amazing show, place, bikes, trip, People ❤ Regards from biker in Poland/Ireland 😊 Love the video: horses and bikes are my life also ❤
So LOVED every part of this video!
The trip, the fun, the landscape and the time spent with the horses ❤ Greetings from Germany
For those of us old foggies...We LOVE you sharing your journey! 💋💋💋💯💯💯💥💥❤🩹
Horses, motorbikes and cycling- brilliant combination- I’ve done all three - now only cycling- fantastic video
Just love the transformation.
I loved this video! I could relate to the bike riding and my love of horses. And, of course, I appreciated Steve's patience.
No wonder Dan got cramp, that bike looks far too short for him 😂
What a beautiful, snowshoe cat!
I absolutely loved this video ❤
Thank you ☺️
Steve, magic stuff as always. I don't know how you do it, and I am not talking about the horses!
Plus I love how you do your makeup and your nails and your hair - you always look
so fashionable.
Such a absolutely beautiful horse. Thank you for sharing this Steve, so much to learn from you - and what an amazing difference in Jack’s behaviour.
I like it when you go on little adventures …you are good fun and Isle of Man looked great
As soon as I see someone pat their horse hard I know Steve will be right on it telling them not to do that!
Had horses all my life and at 50 years old I've learnt so much more quality horsemanship after watching all your videos
Even my perfectly behaved 30 year old home bred mare is benefiting from my new methods...
She loves the no patting policy
Just rubbing...
And the head turning ....
Really useful for worming
and cleaning her old runny eyes .....
Thanks you guys...And I love all the videos...including food and holidays too....what fun...always cheers me up
😂
😘😘😘😘🤩
Oh Yes
I stopped hand feeding years ago..
My mare had started scraping the floor with her hoof every time she was tied up asking for treats
Even though I only gave them at end of ride and that's when it started but very quickly escalated to scraping as soon as I put her in the stable
One thing this young lady needs to do is listen sometimes this comes with life experience
Lovely looking horse
🐎💗One of my absolute, favorite videos😊and, I love the travel and culture, inclusions😊 But, I am absolutely transfixed by the horsemanship and behavior💗🙌This is among the best media, I've watched in my life😊😊😊Thank you, so much to the whole, Young family team😊🐎💗
Ps: Tanya, you look, rested and great😊🌺🙌💗
Great that Steve and Dan are mates .. .. ..
Great video as usual, AND I could hear you clearly inside and out even with the wind and leaves. Audio is much better, thank you!
Agree she's trying to convince herself she knows what she's doing , hush and listening to the master horseman Steve..
What a wonderful video , loved it ❤️
LoL🎉. What a fun time. Love you guys!!❤
Naughty Steve doing wheelies,,,slap your hand,,,😂😂😂
