  • Ever wondered what is the difference between a high pressure burner and a mushroom jet burner? Let us show you!
Mushroom burner gives a hot and wide spread flame which is great for reducing hot spots and heat efficiency, you can achieve high heat and lots of "wok hei" without the noise
High pressure burner is a fast roaring heat, the flame directly shoots up towards to wok.

    Two questions:
    - Is the mushroom jet reasonably wind tolerant?
    - Can I add adjustable high pressure to the mushroom jet burner?

    • @auscrown
      @auscrown  Рік тому +1

Q1. Wind tolerant - Mushroom burner can tolerate light winds, high pressure burner will be more wind tolerant
Q2. An adjustable high pressure regulator cannot be added to the mushroom jet burner, the mushroom jet burner is designed to be use with a low pressure regulator only (LPG 2.75kPa)

Just bought a 15 jet mushroom burner. I must say so glad I did. That high pressure burner is way too loud by comparison. 15 head mushroom burners are not very common compared to the 12. Using 30cm, 40cm and 50cm woks for large family and bulk cooking for freezing meals.

HPA100LPB is quite powerful, it can handle bigger wok than 14 inch - for 14" wok you can consider our other burners such as A7LP Mushroom burner

Yes they're great burners! Can't go wrong with either of them
I can recommend this burner for a hotter flame than your standard home cooktop but use with a flat bottom wok
      www.auscrown.com.au/products/product/double-ring-lp-gas-cast-iron-burner
This burner is no where near as hot as our A12LP or HPA100LPB but it's a good low cost option to get you going! Thanks

@@auscrown cheers for the reply! That's pretty dang affordable. Are there any cheaper ones made for regular shaped woks? I wouldn't mind spending a bit more I just wouldn't wanna go crazy haha. I could always buy a flat bottom wok but I have a very well loved and very well seasoned carbon steel wok already and I love it too much!
It would cost me a bit to get a new nice quality wok anyway, so I would be spending more either way!

@@auscrown that second one looks interesting. A bit more heat would be good, I've always wanted to cook with my wok at the temperatures they are to be used at! Being able to use my cast iron on it outside would be a plus too, both for the extra heat and to not have the house full with smoke 😅
Moving to a new place soon, hopefully with a huge balcony if we get the place we want. As soon as I'm sure I'll have a good spot to use it I think I'll invest in the RBC176... And as soon as I can afford it 😭

I found a heavy duty 15 head burner with cast iron stand. Can still drop it into a wok bench, but also take just the burner camping, or to a party for example without the bench.
