You cannot have a serious discussion about Hilti tools without showing Snoop going into Home Depot to buy one. “ man, keep that shit! You earned that bump like a muhphuca, thanks for your time!
We use the DX 462 for metal stamping. We stamp up to 100 shots a day. The gun will last us about 18 months before we need to replace it. Pretty pricey as well.
As a 15 year old boy this looks like great fun, being as young as I am I can actually say that I have shot one of these. Not the Hilti but on similar, it was in fact as easy as and nice as Dan said it was. Great video by the way.
I do contracting work (bout 5 or 6 jobs a month) in the city, and I'm looking for a replacement nail gun for sealing plywood doors to frames. The frames are on pretty solid old buildings, and we need to make sure its secure. Should I get one of these, or should I stick with a battery powered?
When it's time to step up and use a battery operated tool (such as the DeWalt 410 cordless), the battery may not hold up. Especially if it's been left in the trunk for a while.
I imagine it would work if you made a yoke to cock it back while airborne allowing it to fire like a gun... Especially with the extra heavy loads and the larger steel fasteners! We did that with one of the big old chrome plated .38 cal units that fired 3" exposed 1/2" threaded rods into concrete and it was a badass! You could see the bolt go through the air but you certainly wouldn't want to be anywhere in the flight path! These don't have as much nuts but I'm sure something would happen...
Tools In Action Y’all should run that snoop clip with that video. If you’re ever in Baltimore get Lester to show you the vacants where that nail gun was used.
I am a new user of the Hilti dx250. I was using the red charge with a 1 inch nail. Looking to nail a hanger to a cinder block wall. The steel hanger had a pre-drilled hole. I was nailing through this hole with the hilti but the shot shattered a hole in the block. Any suggestions?? Thanks
2 year warranty ? Not exactly backing their product. I'd expect 3 to 5 depending on the part, and easy servicing when necessary. AEG have a better trade warranty than that. For a 3rd of the price.
Magazines tools are a sham, The magazine only holds 10 pins which really isn't much of a time saver, especially when the magazine jams. The extra cost isn't worth it.
Hilti is prime example of people who know how to talk the talk but realistically half the info coming out of their mouth is bs.hilti is all about marketing nd advertising now because there tools don't sell themselves
As a 15 year old boy if you weren't shooting this hilti gun,you must have one bad parents..powder guns are VERY DANGEROUS AND YOU MUST HAVE ADEQUATE TRAINING. This gun on the other hand is EXTREMELY safe
And you guys don't know at your talking about hilti's warranty is terrible...they made changes to it sometime last year..so if you don't mind not hving your tool for a few months then yea they have a good warranty..can't count how many tools I've lent due to people waiting on hilti's TERRIBLE WARRANTY...DO NOT BE FOOLED BY PEOPLE WHO SAY IT IS GOOD.THEY CLEARLY HAVE NO EXPERIENCE In the subject
Heya, Thats a good video here. The most comprehensive woodworking plans that I have ever used was Toms Magic Wood (i found it on google). Without a doubt it contains the most useful woodworking plans that I have ever tried.

.27 caliber, full auto, no kickback, nail-throwing mayhem, man.
Shit right here is tight!

Shit right heres tight 😂
I have the exact same model and its fantastic. Feels like quality, and performs flawlessly. And thats all I have to say about that...
How many jobs did you have last month?
@@jerryb6728 hopefully more then 5. At that rate the cost of the powder actuated guns more then justifies the price.

Well of course man the man said that it is the caddilac (he mean lexus but he ain't know it)

With that rate, the cost of the powder actuated gun justifies itself.
This is the Cadillac of all nail guns.

Theres hardly any kickback, yet cant even control the thing. lol
there is, hardly any impact., it's a great tool
I had my thumb under one of those once. Didn’t put a nail through it but smashed it real good.
Nailed it!

I was taught to call out “FIRE” before firing a powder activated nailer, so why didn’t they?
Hilti seems like they could have a good niche for this tool.
yup.. all Wire fans

What size nail can it fire into steel and what depth steel can it go into
Does this tool also attach xps to concrete walls?
Sure beats the old hammer kind
what about 3/8" threaded studs?
Real nice.

I will try that, Thanks for getting back to me.
Will it secure 2” wood to 6-10mm steel?
FIREHAWK1979 don’t think they make that sort of a steel penetrating nail. Longest I’ve seen is about 30mm all together.
Wood, concrete, steel-to-steel- she'll throw a fastener into anything

+doug whino It's a Hilti. You probably never used one built this good.........
good for boarding up vacants, about five jobs a month
can you go trought a 14gage steel sheet with that?
We use this exact actuator to fasten 1.5mm (16gauge) sheet to 60 mm diameter, 5mm thickness pipes. It'll easily shoot through 14 gauge.
I've been having a DX460 for nearly 20yrs, maybe longer....it'll shoot through 3/8" steel plate ~
Wat is it use for??? to bind 2 pieces of wood together???
Mok Sad Loh
To secure a 2x4 to concrete
To put bodies in the vacants!
Shoots steel to steel too... not with those nails, but same gun. Good tool!
