I love how detailed you get with discussing your thought process and manual process with everything! I feel like I learn so much from you every time I read or watch your stuff! It would be a dream to work together sometime

Great video! When the first video of Matcha came out, I thought to myself how were the patterns made for that body, tail and those tiny stompers. I find it interesting to see the process of making patterns and adjustments to those patterns and details.

This was wonderful Makeshift! I'm not usually keen on written info (though the pictures are really good then trying to find a spot in a video) but hearing your words and little tidbits that may have not made it to the written version or just other details in general. It was really great to hear. Patterning feels easy but when you're doing it it's so complicated and with how knew I am it's very overwhelming trying to figure out how to do things so it's great to hear little tips. Like your face seam to a long dart, that's such a great idea.

Love this! It's so fascinating to see the process and problem solving of making a pattern fit a character!

I wanted to say a big thank you for all these videos 💕
I'm starting to sew plushes, and it's only possible because of the kindness of people like you who spend time sharing their knowledges.
I really like the explanations of the choices that are made. It's very inspiring to see how to go from a sketch to a plushie, even if for the moment I don't know how to go from a prototype to a pattern or the other way around.
It makes me sad to see discontinued colors...
I feel like some countries (including mine) do not even sell various types of minky (no luxe minky/no shannon brand.
I think that the fabrics sold are rather intended for sewing cuddly toys for babies than for collectible/art plush making, so it makes me sad to know that it may become more difficult for interested sewers to get the fabrics they need
    anyway, amazing work !

thank you so much for the kind words!
yes, fabric supply is hard... we just lost a major fabric supplier in the US a few days ago. bad news for everyone!

Thank you so much for the informative video! It’s very interesting to see what decisions you make as an expert plush maker. You should be very proud of the work you’ve created, the attention to detail is absolutely phenomenal and the end result is genuinely one of the best crafted plushies I’ve ever seen. As always I look forward to your next work

I have a question, will you ever make a video or blog post about patterning? I would love to see how you decontsruct the demo piece into a pattern to use for the final product
To me it seems a bit intimidating! I'd like to understand why certain stitches go where and how that translate onto a flat plane to become 3d! Sorry for the mouthful 😅

i have a few videos on patterning different aspects of plushies, but just a single video on patterning would either be way too long because there's so much content or it would be too generic/short to be useful 😅 i'm sure i'll make more videos on patterning i'm just not sure exactly what the content will be.

Hello! If I may ask, how were you taught? Were you self taught?

yep! to my knowledge there are no real "official" courses on plush making.
