Does the park assist allow the car to semi take over for parallel parking and if so do they work for bay parking ? And does it come as standard or as part of the added parking package? Great video thabkyou for all the info!
These 2008's are not made in Slovakia. The 208's are! 2008's are French or Spanish built. My French built one has just turned six months old. I really like it. Lovely design inside and out. Well equipped, good fit and finish, rides handles and goes well, practical, well spec'd and refined. Way nicer IMO than the likes of a VW T Cross which you were comparing it to in this review. All in all a very nice small SUV.
I read recently (sorry I'm not sure of the source) that these 2008s have poor resale value. And when you read some of the owners' comments it's not surprising. Stop start systems not coordinating properly with the auto gearbox, and touchscreens going blank are problems often cited
Ours is Spanish spec and was made in the factory at Vigo. The dealer provided us with a blow by blow video of the car being made (the final parts of the production). I thought this a bit dubious until looking in the seat back pockets I found a paper. The paper named the person who had put the seats in, five days before the cars was delivered to us.
The car is light weight because it has an engine that's smaller in volume than many motorbike engines. Makes one question if it easily can pass 300 000 km:s with basic maintenance. Historically the french have required far more than the Japanese and others. The turbo normally is regarded as a risk especially if the quality of coolant hoses and couplings are bad.
Wet belt engine avoid at all cost!!!!!! Pure Tech is known as Pure Crap engine. At about 70000 km the engine is dead an full of rubber fragments blocking the oil passages and starving the components of oil. How these cars are allowed to be sold to consumers with this massive internal defect is beyond me!!!!
Am i the only one who thinks the pre facelift looked better
Thank you for you no frills and honest appraisal, welcome relief.
Subscribed and pleased to.
So glad you enjoyed it, thank you!

Is it better than MG ZS (or MG ZS ev)?
Good cars to lease
I actually love this car, but it has the most worst engine. Pure Tech Engine and always trouble.

If screen go blank after updates sometimes easy fix disconnected battery then reconnect problem solved
Just knock s/s problem solved it's not doing anything other than sitting there and it's only on there because of EU pollution regulations.
