Thank you! I felt the same way right before I got mine. I was looking everywhere for info and reading and re-reading everything. I'm glad I did it. But I know there is a lot of hard work ahead of me these next five months. The time is going by so fast!

Hi Sarah, thank you for these videos! I'm suppose to go for a consultation with the Dr here in pensacola florida this coming Monday. I was actually wide awake all last night thinking about all of this. I just wasn't sure if this would be worth the money. I know everyone is different but you are the most informative person I've found here so far. You've been honest about your situations but you don't seem to magnify them. I weigh the same as you did when you started off. This mornings after watching your videos I decided to go in to see the Dr. Whenever you reach your goal please don't disappear of us but let us know how it's working out for you!

Did you get it? i have maintained my weight at 135. up and down here and there. I completely changed my way of eating with the Keto/low carb diet. I love it! Thinking of doing a follow up video soon!

I am very happy you are giving us updates. Thank you very much! I also had the Orbera done on April 6th, 2016. I am trying to learn how to eat. I have (according to my scale) lost around 15-16 lbs. My BMI was 42. I am scared to eat, I have this one chance to lose weight with help from this tool. But I am starting to feel my cravings to start sneaking in. I go to dr on Monday I pray I get some help from dietician. Once again, thank you & please continue to keep us posted.

+Angie M I know what you mean about eating, I did only clear liquids the first week, which really was only protein-no carbs & no calories, then I did soft diet for another week. Then really just tried to do low fat low calorie meals. My dietician really wants me to eat snacks/meals like every two-three hours, ugh, first of all too much food, second I don't want to be thinking of food or feeling hungry all the time. I only have this one chance too to make it work so I am going to try her way. My first month has already gone by and I feel like I am already starting to panic! I have set a goal for one pound per week. As long as I hit that goal every week I'm good. I really wish I would see the weight come off faster, but really its just helping me with how much I eat and staying in control - nothing else. Now that my body had adjusted and I know my portions....It really is time for me to shift into high gear!!! Hopefully I"ll be posting another video tomorrow. Congrats on your weight loss!!!!

Hi, I'm so glad that your video came at this point, you are SO encouraging so thank you. I like that you elaborate into details about what you're going through, that really helps.
I had the (Spatz) balloon inserted 4 days ago (April 27th) and actually I'm having hard time... :-( especially since last night that I'm having constant stomach cramps and hardly slept... (the pills doesn't really help) so at this point I'm also emotionally a bit down (which I know is not helping at all) and doubting why I did such a drastic thing to my body… but then seeing your video just now telling that you felt the balloon inside your body only for about a week really gives me hope... I just need to pull through few more days and hopefully I'll be fine. I do hope so.
So again THANK YOU for sharing, and keep up the good work - you are grate for losing all this weight only in 4 weeks' time. Also good luck with your life style change (I loved that you mentioned this…).
    Tali

+Tali Arbel you can do it. just hang on. from the 3 people I've been following here on UA-cam who've had the balloon, everyone says the beginning is the roughest part. One gentleman, gastric balloon dude, had an awful time the first month (where he lost about 30 pounds I think, but he couldn't keep much down). Now I believe it's beginning to go abit better. But the beginning is the worse. I haven't had the procedure, I want to have it. I know you said the pills aren't really helping with the stomach cramps. Can you call your doctor's office and ask them for a different medication. Perhaps a different anti-stomach cramping medication would be more effective. Best of luck to you on your weight loss journey.

Hi, how are you doing. Feeling any relief yet? I feel so fortunate that I did not have any problems with the Orbera. Like I said in one of my videos mine was only filled to 500mls which I really do feel like eliminated many of the post op symptoms. Do you know how much yours was filled to? Im sure it will get better for you. Your stomach is just not used to it yet. Keep me posted as to how you are doing. And thanks for mentioning the "lifestyle change". I really do want to use this as a tool to help me change so that I continue after the balloon is out. I don't want to just be eating 1/2 a piece of pizza or just less pasta. I'm really re-looking at what has gotten me here and what can get me out of my weight mess.

+Sara M Hi there, I am feeling better but still straggling a bit... mostly at nights. You are right my body needs to get used to the Balloon... I also got a 500ml fill. Well I guess its individual how each one reacts to this… and you are lucky dear! I'm glad for you! Once I'll get better and will go back to my normal day routine I will also start thinking about the future - you are so so right, I just love your positive and realistic outlook on this entire process. Thanks Sara for checking up on me :) and I will be looking forward for your next posts!

+Sara M By the way, today is day 6 since I had the balloon inserted and so far I've lost ~2.5 kg (which is ~5.5 lbs.) - its less than I thought considering I'm hardly eating… what do you think?
Then again it's only been 6 days… and I guess my body still 'fights' against the wait lose :) :).
My goal is to lose ~44 lbs., it should be manageable during the ~12 months that I will have the balloon. I HOPE!!
I just hope that things will go well from now onwards and that I will indeed lose all this weight while feeling good.

thank you for the video. congratulations on your weight loss. well done. P.S. Two channels I think are informative and/or helpful re the Keto diet are Cooking Keto with Kristie, and also FitterU. I also like Gail McLeod's channel where she features low carb recipes. Hope you find those channels helpful.

Thank you. I think this week I will really focus on doing keto I really want to do whatever I can to lose the most weight during the balloon period. I have seen keto with Kristine (she is so sweet and inspiring - have you seen the video of her story?) and I will check out the others. I have slowly been talking to my friends telling them of the lifestyle changes that I am making so that it's not so awkward when i go out to eat. Just last night I turned down ordering an appetizer and ordered a burger with no bun. I would have never felt comfortable doing that in the past. The balloon really does give you the control you need. Thanks for your support !

Thanks! I still have a ways to go and I'm not taking any breaks or cheat days. The balloon itself only can do so much. Let me know when you do it I'd love to hear about it! I've struggled for a long time and for once I feel like it will happen.

Sara, do you work? I haven't heard you mention a job or work so far.
Did you finance your procedure? If so, was it through the provider or care credit, etc. I am currently on track to have the gastric sleeve done this summer but having second thoughts about it now.
I'm really enjoying your videos! You look great!

Missy Caldwell i do work I am a nurse. Although when I got the balloon I was taking a break from working and started working again two months after I got it. I was scared of surgery and didn't qualify. If you get the balloon it's not easy. You really have to say goodbye to your old ways. Good luck!

Yes. I'm glad I didn't tell any of my friends. It is strange though. Even though I've almost lost 20lbs. Only one friend has noticed so far! But that probably just goes to show how over weight I was/am. Can't wait for the next 5 as that will bring me down to a place I haven't been in over 5 years.
