Train Stuck: Naked Bridge Pressure Leak Resolved by Brave Locopilots

Train No. 05497 of the East Central Railway departed from Valmiki Nagar but faced an unexpected setback when an air leak from the UL (Unloader) valve disrupted its journey. The incident occurred at KM-298/20 near Naked Bridge No: 382, causing the train to come to a halt. Locomotive Pilot (LP) and Assistant Locomotive Pilot (ALP) worked tirelessly to resolve the issue, ensuring the safety and readiness of the train's engine before it could proceed. This incident occurred within the Samastipur Rail Division, between Valmiki Nagar and Paniyawan railway stations.
In recognition of their heroic efforts, DRM Vinay Shrivastav announced a reward of ₹10,000 each for both locomotive pilots.

For risking their lives, this is very low amount and this won't create any motivation for other railway workers when they have to do riskier works in future.

Brave and intelligent loco pilots.👍👍 They should be rewarded. Instead of spending large sums of money on bullet train projects, railway minister should spend more money on upgrading railway infrastructure, especially tracks and signalling. There are so many crucial vacancies that railway minister has not filled, and this leading to fatigue and exhaustion to existing loco pilots, leading to accidents.

i suggest they give you a safety harness so you can put it around you , and attac h other end to the rail maybe . this way you wont fall. but provide some kind of lowering mechanism also so you in case you do fall you could lower yourself

They must always use SAFETY HARNESS for such instances. He will injure himself badly if he falls without one. Risk can be minimised.
