I hate Nintendo/The Pokémon Company not putting the official themes on Spotify. All we get are remixes/covers and most of them don’t have the same feeling dread or the same kind of bop(or i sometimes like to say bounce, like when something smoothly but quickly changes, music wise) to it. Like this part 29:48 (i know its already played a billion times but this was where i was in the song), i has this weird smooth kind of bounce feeling, it really gets me into the vibe, y’know? Please tell me if you can relate to this so i don’t sound like an idiot or weird(but i already am so i guess don’t make me more weird) Also by far one of the best themes in the game.
I definitely relate to the fact that none of the remixes of this song I've ever listened to have the same energy as the original. They always pull back some element of it and I'm like, no! Make it even louder and bouncier please! That part you pointed out is exactly the part I like most too, the way the melody almost tries to outpace the beat, it's so good I need more tracks like this in Pokemon

The four sealed legendaries are based on the four perils of Chinese mythology, which are portrayed as being the opposites of the 4 sacred animals (which are the Therian Formes of the Unovan genies) - Ting-Lu is based on Taotie the gluttonous beast, the "face" on the pot antlers is a giveaway - Chien-Pao is based on Qiongqi the beast of depravity which is usually depicted as a tiger in China but a weasel in Japan, hence the design of a smilodon with weasel-like long body. - Wo-Chien is based on Taowu the beast of misguiding people through divination, hence the wooden scrolls on its back. - Chi-Yu is based on Hundun the beast of chaos, as its dex entry says it sparks wars. Hundun is usually depicted as a faceless blob with wings, which it kinda resembles if you ignore the jade eyes
@@lurkinjeeves I am guessing this is supposed to be a reference to the Silk Road? I know Marco Polo was a Venetian but close enough I guess? Apparently the Pokemon were brought to Paldea by a merchant from a distant land.
