I used this recipe as a guideline for ribs tonight and they came out AMAZING. I added garlic and onion powder and brown sugar to the rub. And let that sit on the ribs over night. Baked them at 300’ F for 2 hours and 35 minutes. (Did it all in the oven since I don’t have any kind of grill!) Let the juices go into a bowl and took them out of the foil. Covered in BBQ sauce and put them in the oven on broil, and as they caramelized I added another layer of BBQ. Did that for a few layers and took them out and let them rest. Falling off the bone! (Making this note: 2 years later I still use this to make ribs to this day! :) )
Claire fun? Brad is just the best but look at her face at the things she says at the point where she says; "Eating ribs is so much fun" at 8:40 shes always just monotone to me..
I thought it was nice of Carla to take some time off from yelling at babies to make an appearance in this video. Just to make sure you don't forget about her personality, she constantly shakes her head "no" whenever she enjoys something or compliments someone.
Such an unique and fun comment! Thumbs up! Upvoted! Haha! Keep up the good work! Just the kind of masterwork I expect to see when I scroll down to a comments section on youtube.
Yep, located at the one world trade centre! Very very jealous of Bon Appetit's digs, absolutely stunning views while cooking, what more could anyone dream for?
bon appetit is part of the conde nast media group. They make loads of content controlling companies like vogue, GQ and Wired. Basically, no they don't have a restaurant. Their purpose is to make media content whether thats in their magazine or on youtube.
Claire never ceases to amaze me. Plus she's left handed too. That is probably why she prefers the arts and crafts portion of making gormet snacks. What's not to love?
The team running Bon Appetit right now is my fave. You finally got your groove in what things that are interesting and don't mimic other food channels.
Claire did you remove the membrane on the back of the ribs? Just curious. Also, another way to tell if the ribs are cooked enough is to take a pair of pliers and twist the bone. If it's loose enough to start coming out they're done.
tried this recipe last night and it came out great! St. Louis style is the way to go for sure. I substituted dry mustard with garlic powder & thyme and added Sriracha ketchup to the BBQ sauce mix.
love the authentic kitchen handyman work with the bowl and bain maire behind the grill, true chefs think they can fix anything before calling someone out to fix it.
The reason we started moving away from K.C. Masterpiece was that it is made from high fructose corn syrup. Before that it was also a favorite. Now we use Stubbs for store bought since it is quite authentic, albeit Austin, TX style and made from sugar, molasses and other natural ingredients.
fprintf I was just about to comment on this! I noticed a few months ago that I have a horrible reaction to HFCS. If I drink a soda, have sauce (ketchup, BBQ ...) or anything with HFCS my face puffs up like a balloon. It even messes with my vision and memory. Ive cut it out my diet ever since and I feel amazing!
That thing with the hole ion the foil and the measuring jug? Sheer genius. I would never have thought of that. Claire is a masterpiece, I mean a masterchef.
haha i love claire💗! my therapist says i project my emotions onto unavailable/unattainable women so i don’t have to face the vulnerability of real relationships
Claire is such an amazing chef, very knowledgeable, her 'grit' in her gourmet junk fast food series is extremely impressive. Thanks for the recipes Claire!
I made this recipe today. Didn’t have dry mustard, I added a little too much salt, but that aside, these ribs were absolutely amazing. So tender, so juicy, so delicious. My whole family was pleased. Will definitely be making again.
Carla liberally sprinkles encouragement and approval but is always genuine and that makes her essential. If we ever have to pick people to go into the bunker to preserve humanity, I vote that Carla is on that list. And while we’re at it, the rest of the BA family should go in too.
Barbecue in the Slave and Ranchero traditions are low and slow, smoked. Slaves got the ‘throwaway’ cuts and found ways to make them tasty in smoke ovens. Rancheros sold the profitable cuts and used what was left, roasting in the ground, smoking with coals. Grilling is the quick and shortcut way (the “Yankee definition”) tries to mimic the traditional styles. There is one exception to this, the Santa Maria, CA style where meat is grilled over green oak wood in a pit, being a Ranchero traditional method, some accept it as a style of Barbecue. Roasted and grilled ribs are tasty, but it’s not barbecue.
Claire, those look awesome, and I LOVE the tips on the foil and poking the holes to drain the juices, that's a fab idea! Great work and thank you so much!
Kinda want to marry Claire, nbd. Bomb recipes and adorable personality. How does she get her hair like that? Does she dye it or do you think it's poliosis?
Ellie Anne i'm so jealous, it looks so cool! Kinda want to replicate it with bleach and dye, but knowing my asian hair it'd turn brassy in like 2 days haha
Sevina Lee Do it if it interests you. Women over think things sometimes in regards to beauty but plenty of guys like myself don't mind gray hairs and there's not a guy out there who doesn't have a milf fantasy or two. Take care of yourself, be healthy and you'd be surprised by the attention you get.
I see Claire, and I totally click. Bon Appetit has some really big personalities - with specialty recipes - but I love when you see those personalities doing more traditional cooking techniques. I wonder what their weekend dinner parties are like?
There was once a girl named Claire. Self conscious, she dyed her hair. After growing it out, The grey streak in her part helped her to run away with my heart. Gorgeous.

🤤
that was the comment i was searching for. thanks
Helpful, thank you
Did you use the juice in the bbq?
John Doe yes!
Claire's the best at these because she explains super well what she's doing and why.
I love her, Chris, and Brad so much. They can be fun and maintain their professional-ness.
*professionalism
Claire fun? Brad is just the best but look at her face at the things she says at the point where she says; "Eating ribs is so much fun" at 8:40 shes always just monotone to me..
Claire is so insanely gorgeous
Johnny Nunya boy that’s because you don’t know anything but porn stars
Something about that grey stripe turns me on. It also helps that she knows how to cook.
My GF is 34 with a few grey stripes. I dig it, not gonna lie.
It’s so interesting what makes a woman attractive.
Prototype oZ she would be even more gorgeous if she loses abiut 10 kg. Her face features will stand out better.
Claire is like Rogue from the X-Men except her mutant power is being a cooking goddess.
You must be Xavier because I was thinking the same.
Pretty accurate
@@Ikiratuki Haha good one 😱
Me too 😭
Me: Oh I like baby back ribs
Claire: I prefer St. Louis ribs

"Right now i realized there´s nothing you can´t do" WE BEEN KNEW CARLA.
we've known?
I thought it was nice of Carla to take some time off from yelling at babies to make an appearance in this video. Just to make sure you don't forget about her personality, she constantly shakes her head "no" whenever she enjoys something or compliments someone.
Sham memesling don’t be condescending
Sham memesling it’s a saying 🤦🏽♀️
Jimi Hendrix cuz it’s a saying and slang. Do you also correct anyone who says “cuz”?
I had no idea Claire was from Saint Louis!!!
Claire's hair is so badass
Chauncey Lockwood reminds me of Rogue from X-Men to be honest.
I was wondering if it's natural or if she does it like that. Either way, is good.
Claire is just badass.... Rib Pimp .
Justin Earle I saw her comment about that its natural
What have we done to deserve so many episodes as of late? I need to know so that we can keep it going because I love thiss!
I see claire and I click.
Duph1995 same!!!!
I think what my other reaction, was why she's not doing snacks??!!??
Such an unique and fun comment! Thumbs up! Upvoted! Haha! Keep up the good work! Just the kind of masterwork I expect to see when I scroll down to a comments section on youtube.
Hobi Hates The Snakeu did you pay for upvotes or what?

Spencer Hole hi
If you don't have a grill, can you use the oven broiler (which is really just an upside-down grill)
Is there a restaurant attached with this kitchen? I’d like to know where it is, so I can eat there if so :)
Make it happen
Honestly would travel from Australia for 😂😂
I'm not too sure whether there's a restaurant but the kitchen looks like it's in the One World Trade Center or the immediate area in NYC!
Yep, located at the one world trade centre! Very very jealous of Bon Appetit's digs, absolutely stunning views while cooking, what more could anyone dream for?

I just love Carla enthusiastically nodding in agreement while eating a meat lollipop
The team running Bon Appetit right now is my fave. You finally got your groove in what things that are interesting and don't mimic other food channels.
I see what you’re doing Bon Appetite- 2 Claire videos in 3 days after not seeing her for a month 😂
I adore Claire. she really shines in these longer videos.
Brad just typing away at that keyboard in the background
I've used this recipe multiple times and it always comes out amazing and a totally hit at home. They don't last very long here!
Clair needs to write a cookbook!
Carla and Claire are killing it on the BA videos. Love you guys! Fist bump to Brad too because you three are my favorite crew!
Ugh Claire is the best
when claire stares looking directly at the camera giving instructions it gives me chills
Yeah Claire can literally do everything 😍
Claire did you remove the membrane on the back of the ribs? Just curious. Also, another way to tell if the ribs are cooked enough is to take a pair of pliers and twist the bone. If it's loose enough to start coming out they're done.
Just when I thought I couldn’t love Claire more, I learn that she’s from St. Louis!!! STL BABY!!
It would only be better if it were KC barbeque.
Pls let Claire make her own cheesecake !
That's a great idea
Roasted meat xylophones

I miss you like crazy, Claire!
I don’t know why I’m Watching this, I am a vegetarian, I just really love Claire
Jennyfer Caron hahaha same
Lol, ditto...I am also vegetarian, but I enjoy watching and learning from Claire :)
tried this recipe last night and it came out great! St. Louis style is the way to go for sure. I substituted dry mustard with garlic powder & thyme and added Sriracha ketchup to the BBQ sauce mix.
Half Sour 'The Griller' Saffitz
Claire is seriously one of the coolest people on UA-cam. I could watch her all day!
Next can you make gourmet Oreos
I think they would be too easy.
Stella Parks nailed it
She just did
this comment is from a moth ago, meaning its in the past and the poster had no idea she did it
She already did that a while ago you dummy
I miss these guys
And with these ribs, Claire has completely won my heart... :D
Shame she's on the wrong side of the Atlantic though... :\
She's cute as a button but this is not how yo "do ribs right". I'd still eat them but they'd only be 1/2 as good as smoked ribs:(
There's many ways to cook ribs, so there technically is no "right" way, just a personally preferred way... :)
It doesn't where, it matters of it's done right
I'm not from the South but I still know that if it isn't smoked it isn't barbecue. I've made and enjoyed ribs using this method, but it's faux bbq.
Yeah, I'm sure that ocean is the only thing keeping you apart. Could you be any creepy?
The more i watch claire the more her charm just makes me infatuated with her. Down to earth, talented and passionate what a great combination.
I'm going to try it
So smart and casual at the same time. She has mad skills; get her her own show.
There is NOT ENOUGH CLAIRE CONTENT! I want more Claire 😭❤️
What?
W Smith meos what is the confusion?

fprintf one of the only BBQ I've found without HFSC. It's hard to find them.
Stubb's all the way. The bottles she had on the counter made me think they were using Stubb's.
same, although if i'm making ribs i'll just make bbq sauce, it doesnt take more than 15 minutes.
Stubbs is awesome and you can find it at stores like Aldi.
fprintf I was just about to comment on this! I noticed a few months ago that I have a horrible reaction to HFCS. You can tell that ribs are good when someone looks at them suspiciously. Carla does that! I can’t wait to make these.
Clair and Brad need to see who can make the best ribs.
And then we should bind their left hands together and put a knife in their right hands.
I think relationships are a dead social construct in my generation. We just bang like dogs, and treat each other like trash.
@@nickcobb865 sad but true
Same
I love all of the BA chefs! Every time a new video comes out, my favourite changes lol
The only lefty person I love is Claire
Claire be taking things to the next level with that tong-brush manoeuvre to safely apply the sauce. Respect.
6:55 so i have been caramelizing all my food!
This is hands down the best channel on youtube
She just used the Gourmet Makes intro for this one... (Yes, I’m rewatching BA vids to cope with quarantine)
Me too friend.
Claire makes quarantine better
Another home run for Half-Sour. Rock on Claire
I can't resist, Ribs are my favorites
Claire is such an amazing chef, very knowledgeable, her 'grit' in her gourmet junk fast food series is extremely impressive. Thanks for the recipes Claire!
Be nice if you'd include a link to the recipe
Claire is such a natural and so authentic. She's charming.
I don't even like ribs (that much) but I just love Claire and her personality so any video she makes I'm down to watch. 💙
Claire is sooo brave. The fire coming through so high, she keeps going!
What kind of candy is this?
Barbecue flavored
I made this recipe today. Didn’t have dry mustard, I added a little too much salt, but that aside, these ribs were absolutely amazing. So tender, so juicy, so delicious. My whole family was pleased. Will definitely be making again.
That glass bottle of BBQ sauce is NOT KC Masterpiece, that's Stubbs. I know my barbecue sauces.
I love Claire so much. She makes BA just delightful. 😌
2 Claires, 1 Week? Im widdit ✊🏽
Claire, we NEED your own cooking show
"Claire makes (…)". I'd like to think I had something to do with this. Awesome work BA, now it's 6/5 :)))

Claire is the best!!
I love how Carla just goes in!
For us BBQ just means grilling anything outside lol..
im from Canada and that sounds like the definition of BBQ to me lol
Same in holland lol

Kinda want to marry Claire, nbd. Bomb recipes and adorable personality. How does she get her hair like that? Does she dye it or do you think it's poliosis?
Sevina Lee I think she just went gray mad early. I'm 28 with numerous grays and I got my first a bit after I turned 24 for example.
I’m not sure what it’s called, but I’ve seen her comment before that is natural
Ellie Anne i'm so jealous, it looks so cool! Kinda want to replicate it with bleach and dye, but knowing my asian hair it'd turn brassy in like 2 days haha
