Congratulations on your first year! Everything took us a lot longer than we thought it would. As you said it's not a race and you are not in a competition with anyone. Even small amounts get big results over time. Sometimes you just have to sit down and admire the view!
And what a view we have! We got a little puppy surprise now too which threw us right off track. But hey, (hopefully) a once in a lifetime experience, all that cuteness around. Stop to pet the puppy, we can get gutters next year 🤣
Your honesty is refreshing and endearing. So many of us are scared at what we can't do and so we don't do it. You are doing it and you're doing grand. Its at your pace. You are adventuring, many will never leave their sofa and only get to watch you and others doing it. I have really enjoyed watching all of your journey, you are inspiring.
Thank you for the kind words. It's true, UA-cam people is who gave us that idea. It just looked like "living" , making all those memories. What an adventure. We're definitely happy that we dared to give it a go
It’s been JUST a year, don’t underestimate yourself guys! I remember the house when you first arrived no electricity, the turkey poop in the room…. You cleaned all of that, you start building a bathroom, you registered your car (something that is struggle even for Bulgarians believe me…) that’s a lot! It’s not like u sit and wait all this things to happen on their own ! Congratulations! And keep growing guys!
Thank you so much. You're right, the car thing was quite the adventure. And second time around it was barely a bother. That's amazing! And boy that poop, wow.
Hey guys, congratulations on making your first year; thanks for your honesty, we really feel for you both with your mental health issues and can see how hard that must be for you sometimes, sending a hug. It's ok not to have perfection, that's the Bulgarian way isn't it lol, practicality over aesthetically pleasing, and you've now probably experienced the worst things AND more importantly got through them. As long as you can keep finding the positives in your day to day life at least, it's amazing how the little things can feel so amazing. Thanks for letting us know there is no difference between the chocolate wafers Franzi, now we won't have to try them all out and put on weight. 😂
Congratulations on your first year! For us that will be in July... You guys are still very young. Others need to wait until their pension age. So even if you need to work again, or the house renovation takes a lot longer than anticipated... You are already living here! 👍👍👍😊
I have watched ur vidoes from the beginning. In my opinion, you both seem much clamer and settled. It would be fun to see Alex go to the village shop for first time..😊 I enjoy your content and happy to have seen your growth. Well done Outliers.
Banitsa......❤ Okay....things! First off, everyone time I watch you, there's another dog. Who is the wee pup? Also....the shop. Do it! I felt like that at first. Now I go in (shouting HEALTH! as a rule) and they take great delight in teaching me a bit of Bulgarian. Also.....neither of us can plaster either. We will get there!
Just an idea, but you guys could start a go fund me or something similar that could help you guys care for the animals and find them homes abroad and that could become a job that you are passionate about and saves the animals at the same time 😊💞
We are trying to help our friend vrnda find homes for her fosters, but there just doesn't seem to be much interest anymore for dogs from the east. Will post a puppy video in a few days, as we need to adopt out at least two of them. Let's see whether that works. Then it'll be still house and property that we will need to concentrate on again. But some day we'd like to be able to help with the street dog problem here. Even if it's just to get them neutered and put them back on the street...
Hey guys! Shout out from your Gen X, retired, non target audience members 😂😂😂 great video, has it been a year 😮you’ve done more than you think, and of course there’s a lot ahead but I don’t think it’ll take you 20 years 🤣 ❤
Thankfully many people grow tomatoes here, so we can buy the fruit easily at the market and even the village shop. I have a few small ones for when we don't feel like going to the shop 🤣 but also need to see what the water situation is like this year with the new mayor. Last year most my plants died as we could not water them :(
Ask other Brits to come to help you but mainly learn some Bulgarian join some social media group & ask neighbors & locals to help you they'll be glad & do it for free.
Your fly screen is way too short! It is also too wide so you could remove one or two of the lengths on the right and use 4 or 5 links to lengthen the others 😂

I'm not convinced yet. There has to be a reason why there's so many different kinds. Maybe if I keep eating them, I'll taste the nuances....
@@outliersbulgaria all you can do is keep trying 🤣

Exactly! We're just so happy to be here, and to be allowed to stay! Such a relief

Thank you so much. I think I would be veeeeery confused if that ever happened. Could be a whole video. "The day Alex went to the village shop" 🤣
I love it!! You sweeties, congratulations on living your dream for a whole year already ❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Life is about venturing out of your comfort zone - bang. Well done, keep on keeping on
EU citizen who lived in UK and moved to Bulgaria by the sea here. Keep up the good work Outliers :)
Never appreciated that EU passport as much as we did now seeing how people from the UK struggle to get out

Working on a puppy video. Ironically they are from the dog that lived at the village shop. I guess we all should have avoided the shop 🤣
@@outliersbulgaria our village seems full of dogs at the moment. I worry about them.

Challenge accepted 🤣
Living in rural Bulgaria means to forget the overwhelming you emotions and to fight primarily with Nature
for your place under the Sun.
Good advice 👍
Did you plant tomatoes in the garden , if you plant them now they should be ready in July

Did you just say "ask for help" 😮🫣
Still need to earn some money before we can continue anyway. Need materials 😊
😀

We were inspired by Baba Tonka's fly screen :)
@@outliersbulgaria I don't think any right minded fly would mess with Baba Tonka!
