  • For most of the cleaning, it appeared to be just standard lint build up. But towards the end nut shells and leaves started coming out, indicating that a rodent of some kind had likely tried to make a nest in the vent, which had not had a proper cover on it for a while. I also spotted some press on nails that somehow made it into the wash and past the lint trap!

    Great video.
    2 Questions:
    1. How do you know when you've gotten everything?
    2. Do you have something pushing air out on the other end?

      Thank you!
Yes, I always have the dryer running on an air only cycle because you always want to have air movement of some kind while your brushing the lint so that you don't just push it all forward and compact it.
I know when It's clean from a combination of factors. Since I have the dryer running during the cleaning, I can see the air flow improve as I clean. I also always try to get a sense of how long the duct line is so I know about when I'm getting into the transition duct behind the dryer. So if I know I've gotten into the flex and the air flow is as strong as it should be, I know it's clean!

May I ask what kind of a "Dryer Vent Cleaning Kit" you would suggest for a business starting out in the Vent Cleaning business?
